i have the same tv and had similar problems...i replaced the caps on the power supply and it didnt help..i used a hair dryer on the main board and found the bad caps..i replaced them and it fixed the problem....before you replace the power supply check the caps on the main board

yes..i have cable tv hooked up to the uhf port...but when i hook an antenna to the dtv port there is no option to scan for channelsLeave a comment:

hi guys...i replaced the caps on the power supply board and it did no good,,,,so i used a hair dryer and heated up the caps on the main board until i found the one that was causing the trouble...i replaced it and it fixed the sound problem...but the tv still has a problem...it has 2 coax plugs ..one for antenna and one for dtv..when i use the antenna plug the tv works fine....but the dtv doesnt work...anyone have any ideas on whats going on with it?..thanks in advanceLeave a comment:

none of the caps are bulged but i did notice that the 2 close to the heat sink have turned a purple color..all the other caps are blueLeave a comment:

i have a 37 in olevia lcd tv model #lt37hvs and when you first turn it on there is no sound except for some loud popping noises and some functions of the remote wont work...after a few minutes of the horrible popping noises the sound comes on and works fine until you turn it off and let it cool off..when you turn it back on same old deal...any ideas?..thanks in advance
