Samsung 40" lcd vertical blue line

    Samsung 40" lcd vertical blue line

    Hello, I have picked up a Samsung LE40A456C2DXXU which has sometimes a blue line on the right hand side of the set (photo) it comes and goes and sometimes it fills with green like with speaker interference? The sound is ok on the tv if any thing it may be a little on the low side. I have disconnected the T-con and re seated the ribbon cables and it is still there.

    Any help would be great, thanks.

    Is this line only one pixel width in thickness? If so suspect tab bonding issues from the panel being the issue itself. Bad tab bonding or bad tape carrier.
    Did I leave the soldering iron on?

      Would tab bonds still show the picture?
      Do NOT touch heatsinks when testing for voltages as they may be LIVE!

        the photo shows the with of the blue line, it is not always blue but shows up as green infill which looks to be insync with the sound!

          I would think tab bond or t-con failure, more likely to be the former.

            You need to get some pics up of all the boards, nice and clear.

            I cant tell much about the pics, so just getting some prep work for the other guys.

            Or, no need if its tab bond.

            Try putting a little pressure above and down the side where the blue colour is.
            Do NOT touch heatsinks when testing for voltages as they may be LIVE!

              Did you try reseating the ribbons that go from the tcon to the panel as well? On the panel side.
              Did I leave the soldering iron on?

                just off the phone to the previous owner and it was hit with a wii remote. I will take a look where the ribbons attach to the lcd panel, I take it thats where the tab bonds are?
