This tv keeps reverting to standby when I try to switch it on. Is this a serious/expensive problem, should I buy a new tv?

Welcome to the forum - havent given us much to go on - could be one small start up cap (easy) or could be firmware IC (Almost impossible) A new board would fix it. Also we no nothing about you.
We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.
Examples of what is needed

It will be useful if you can say what the supposed fault was and a bit about yourself - skills tools etc. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Hi, I was recently given a Bush Smart TV by a friend and the main board seems to be hanging on by a thread.
Before we get to that, my first obstacle was figuring out the model number since the back sticker has gone for a walk. Upon taking off the back case, I noticed the following Vestel parts, 17MB95m mainboard, 17IPS71 (what I'd assume is power supply) and a VES420UNVL-3D-S02 display panel. After doing some research I think the TV I have is a Bush ELED42240FHDCNTD3D, based on the matching image here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...td3d.html#manu... -
by tyler123456Hi,
Not sure whether anyone can help but I'm trying to identify the IC chip in the photo below.
I purchased a faulty Bush DAB radio (model # BD-1801) and identified that an IC chip was blown on it. Unfortunately, I couldn't read the manufacturer name / model number of the IC chip.
I purchased another (working) BD-1801 so that I could open it up to find out the IC details - but the IC chip details are missing (as you can see in the photo.)
Given the two huge blobs of solder either side of it I'm guessing it regulates power(?)
Anyone...1 Photo-

by Johnny.pI recently bought an internet radio Bush WI-1810, it came with a power supply that when plugged in promptly damaged the radio. I discovered too late that the radio was 6v and the supplied adaptor was 12v. The radio still powers on but the wifi is not working. I have attached a few pictures- Image 2 showing the board with damaged component top right labelled U8. There are several other similar components like U9 (image 3) that I'm wondering could be a replacement.
U9 has a code on it S5EJI- I have searched several smd code sites and the nearest I can find is for a mark of S5E -listing shows...4 Photos-

by razzer05Hi,
I did a silly thing and tried to update the tv (Bush LE50GY15M) with a "allupgrade_6308rtbm.bin" off the internet with the same board name "T.MS6308.U701" and it now no longer works.
I have researched quite a bit since Fridays messup, I've gathered a bit of information and tried multiple "allupgrade_6308rtbm.bin" files off the internet to try and fix it.
The information I've come up with:
A possible clone of "SEIKI SE50UO01UK" with a Bush Logo
The board is as mentioned: "T.MS6308.U701"... -
