    Bush WI-1810 Internet Radio

I recently bought an internet radio Bush WI-1810, it came with a power supply that when plugged in promptly damaged the radio. I discovered too late that the radio was 6v and the supplied adaptor was 12v. The radio still powers on but the wifi is not working. I have attached a few pictures- Image 2 showing the board with damaged component top right labelled U8. There are several other similar components like U9 (image 3) that I'm wondering could be a replacement.
U9 has a code on it S5EJI- I have searched several smd code sites and the nearest I can find is for a mark of S5E -listing shows (sorted for size) Linear voltage regulator IC LDO 1.5v 150ma.
I'm not too familiar with these components or if a nearly match will do. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

    those chips are totally different.

find out where the 3 pins go.
it looks like the center is ground.
the left pin may be the input voltage.
trace where the right goes to work out the voltage.

and look left to Q1 - is it cratered?

            clock radio / radio lifespan?
            by shelby5041
            hi
ive got a modern digital clock radio approx 15yrs old

my question is how long can a clock radio or a simple radio last ss farcas operating hours?

since elec components have limited hour lifecspan i would imagine the radio or clock radio would eventually fail.

the reason i ask is because i have my clock radio on radio function 24/7 for the past 7 years and its still working fine....i leave the radio on ..never turn off past 7years...thats approx 60000 hours

it uses very little power just a few watts i would imagine that may have something...

Need help identifying an IC chip on a Bush DAB radio (BD-1801)
            by tyler123456
            Hi,

Not sure whether anyone can help but I'm trying to identify the IC chip in the photo below.

I purchased a faulty Bush DAB radio (model # BD-1801) and identified that an IC chip was blown on it. Unfortunately, I couldn't read the manufacturer name / model number of the IC chip.

I purchased another (working) BD-1801 so that I could open it up to find out the IC details - but the IC chip details are missing (as you can see in the photo.)

Given the two huge blobs of solder either side of it I'm guessing it regulates power(?)

            Anyone...
