    magnavox 37mf337b/37 parts advice

Hi! I am a new member and love the site! Thanks for all of the information, very helpful!!

I have a MAGNAVOX Model:37mf337b/37 that currently has the squeak/squeal going on. The Stock CapXon Caps are currently present in the t.v. @ a rating of 1000uf 35v.The three caps will need replacing due to bulging, also I tested the Diodes and found that two need replaced:

    ZD902 (KE12 74) tested at .017 and .017, D912 (RD) tested at .001 and .001 while installed to PSU.

What brand of caps should be used?
What are the correct diodes that I will need?
Part #'s, Brands, any advice would be helpful.

I can be more specific if necessary, Thanks again!!

    These are suggested:-

    http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...445-ND/2433579

    + shipping about 3 bucks

Panasonic FR - low ESR, high ripple current, very long lifespan.

Just check the diameter (12.5mm x 20mm) will fit.

    The diodes - I believe UF4007 is tossed around here - http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...ICT-ND/3340246

        Isn't ZD mean zener diode?

Hello! Yes, from what i understand ZD is zener diode. So does anyone know which ZD I will need? I will be ordering the parts described as above, but would like to make sure that I have a regular diode and a zener diode.
          Thanks again!!

I dont understand what you are asking - you have the board there what are the part numbers of the parts you want- is the part number you originally quoted not the number off ZD902 " ZD902 (KE12 74)" Is that not correct?

Test them again off the board.

I will retest out of board and report my results. I am needing a KE12 74 , which is ZD902. I was just making sure I do not replace a ZD w/a regular diode.. I am not sure if uf4007 would be good for both faulty diodes.
Thanks for the quick responses, this site is amazing!!

You can always check by looking at the data sheets for the part numbers.
Even if you dont fully understand them ( I dont) you can usually get enough
info for basic comparison. Just google the part number and download the data sheet ( Pdf file)

I will do that! When I do find the info. I will be sure to pass it on. I will keep this thread open and update my progress. I am pretty good with electronics, this is my first tv and is a good learning experience.

Is there a chassis number on the model number sticker?
Pleas remove that zener diode, it should have number with PKEXXXX on it, it is Zener Diode for the snubber circuits, will be in 200V range.

PSU # is 715T2484-4, there is a barcode also on PSU with ADPF24220R1P/P5PB74752533 as I am not sure what those numbers stand for. The back of the tv its self has model# and serial #.

Most PHILIPS/MANAVOX TV's have chassi number printed on the model number sticker to tell the service technician which chassis being used inside the TV since same model can have more than one version of the chassis. Any number on that PKE ZENER Diode?

From the picture, I can see KE2XXX. I do not see KE12XX. I expect it to be P6KE2XXX. I expect it to be 200v Zener.
His circuit may be similar to this one. I need to find the chassis number to look up the service manual.

                                Digikey:
                                http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...ACT-ND/2770358

That is pretty low voltage rating for Snubber.
The other Diode D912 more likely to be UF4007, but take it out of the circuit to check and get the number off the body.

I will definitely take D912 out, confirm the body numbers and diode test . I really appreciate all the input, I could not have done it without BADCAPS!! Thanks for the schematics as well VERY HANDY thing to have.

I will search for the chassis number, I am interested in that now. The diagram is great in showing how the diodes are used, very interesting stuff.

Make sure you are keeping a written record where all these parts of coming from on the board. You sometimes get so many you forget from time to time. I also like to take a picture of the board before I start taking parts off of it.
Have you ever stopped to think and then forget to start thinking again?

As a very wise man once said on this forum: "Of all the things I have lost I miss my mind the most."

The TV is a Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01. I replaced the power source board and the TV is now working, but I decided to try and troubleshoot the old board to fix at the component level. Trying to get a schematic and a parts list has proven to be an issue. Trying on my own, I can't tell you how many times my Norton security has flagged sites as "malicious". I ordered a service manual from ServiceManuals.net, paid $16.99 and got 66 pages of everything BUT schematics and component parts list! Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Some of the surface mounted component parts...

                                          Hey everyone,

This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.

                                          Anybody...

I am working on repairing a 1970s Magnavox stereo console. The Left channel works perfect, but the right channel is dead at the speaker. This happens in all modes (Tape, Phono, FM Stereo). Now, I do have audio from the right channel via the "Tape Record" output, so this confirms the problem is in the right channel AF and Output amp? I also tested the speaker itself. I attached a schematic of the Right channel: AF and Output.

In addition to a recap, I found that R101 and R107 were both open (see arrows). I replaced R101 and R107, but they both become very hot....

                                          Hi,

I have this board, where I have exchanged the LGA1151 socket. During testing I discovered, that the large PCIEX16 slot won't by no force work in x16 mode, but keeps to work in x8 mode only.
I tested this with GPU-Z, also with Render Test (but tried also Furmark and Heaven Benchmark - no effect).
Tested on Core i5-9600K as well as on an Pentium G5420 and MSI NVIDIA GTX1070 and 2 other cards, including RTX3060Ti.
Board architecture definitely allows x16 mode, as all 16 PCIe lanes are present between CPU and main GPU slot (nearest to CPU).
