Insignia NS-LCD47HD -- No Picture but I have blue power LED

    Hello Everyone!

Long story short (no pun intended), my idiot dog chewed the power cord to my TV and I believe it shorted something in my TV. After replacing the power cord I get the regular power LED (Red standby, blue powered on) but absolutely no display. I have checked with a flashlight to verify it's not a back light issue.

I opened the TV up hoping I'd see something that stood out as wrong like a blown capacitor. All I really found was a thermistor that appeared a little burnt but I believe it is still working.

Any ideas on what the issue might be and what I can check? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi - if you have a steady blue light fuse should be ok.
    Do you have a multimeter.?

If so with the power on can you test the voltage across the two BIG caps
CARE HIGH VOLTAGE - Meter on 600VDC or DC multirange with the TV plugged in
put red probe on positive leg of the cap and black probe on negative leg and report
result. Press the power on button and do the test again. ( May be even higher voltage!!)

Sent the manual to tom66 to host. In the meantime... here is a snapshot of the flowchart for a "no power" scenario, but it states the indicator light would be "green" not the blue you're experiencing.

Perhaps it's a typo... in any event..

Insignia NS-LCD019-09 issue: Power light turns blue for 3 seconds, the flashes red before going solid read again

Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
        by PantherDave
        Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

        Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74 power issue

        Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
        by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and
