That is what I have in my parts bin, you can use 2 or 3 Watts (5W does not cost more), the resistors are 4.7 Ohms, not 10 Ohms as I mention.
So far my 42" Vizio is still working, but only time will tell since this is the second mod they came one with, I guess the first one did not fix the blown IC and MOSFETs problem.

Hi budm,

Do the zeners need to be 5 watts? I don't have a schematic of the inverter boards. I bought some 1 watt zeners, what do you think?

You can use 1W, what will happen is that the 1W may just short out when the repeated surges higher than 33V happen on the 24V line, it will blow the fuse on the inverter board, in that situation, it is good, you rather have blown fuse and blown Zener Diode than blown MOSFET's and IC.
