    Sony 32" LCD KDL-32M3000 no picture but sound

    Sony 32" LCD TV model KDL-32M3000 no picture but sound, I replaced the T-Con board (320wtc2lv3.9), but the same problem.
    The first picture is when power up, it's displaying the logo, I guess, then after a while the screen became the second picture.
    I checked the bond / cables, they all look good. Now don't know what to check next.

      After replacing the T-con with no change the only two things left that could be causing this issue would be the LVDS cable and main board. I have not heard of these main boards giving problems, however theirs always a first. Sure reminds me of T-con failure. I've only seen two LVDS cable problems, making me pin point the main.

          Was the Tcon board EXACTLY the same model and revision number as the old one.
          Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

                  This set is somewhat known for panel failures. I had one and replaced the T-CON with the same problem. I am more than sure that this panel failed. The four lines is usually T-CON but the rest of the screen is why I am saying that....but hopefully someone can prove me wrong

                      Hi,

                      i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
                      Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
                      If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
                      Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
                      With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.

                      Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
                      Or is it always a bad/shorted...

                      Previous owner said TV just went blank one day.
                      They attempted to open the back panel and yanked the power connector off the power supply in the meantime.
                      Easily fixed that and got the TV to turn on. Backlights come one with everything connected. Good Sign.
                      The mainboard shows signs of life (red light on digital audio out is on) but that's about it. Good Sign.
                      There is not blinking LED and the most importantly there is LED response and sound when I press the MENU button on remote control. GREAT Sign.

                      I just downloaded the Sony KD-75X7800F Service Manual and...

                      Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                      - sound and backlight, but no picture
                      - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                      - it keeps rebooting
                      - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                      - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

                      I have a Sony KD-43XE8005 with no picture on the TV when powered on. Audio and backlight work ok when powering on. Solid white indication light showing on front of tv bezel.

                      When removing the left hand ribbon cable from the T-con board, a white image is displayed on that half of the screen and a black screen is shown on the right. If I gently rub the ribbon cable on the right an image or purple black bars appear. The cable doesnt appear damaged, and if swapped with the other ribbon cable the same flickering symptoms can be seen.

                      Removing the LVDS cable results in...

                      Hello everyone,
                      Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
                      The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
                      He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
                      I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
                      Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...
