I get 387 vdc when it is plugged in and turned on. when i unplug it and then plug it back in without turning it on, it starts at about 300 and constantly falls over a very short period time all the way down to less than a volt.

Panasonic TX-24A1UN CRT Sound and Input problem.
      by hugocarmo
      Hi.

I´ve been given an old CRT from Panasonic, it´s almost new, it was storaged and almost not used since bought.
It is imaculate inside, almost no dust or debris inside.
The picture is good, but I have no left sound channel, I tried all the inputs, outputs, even on headphone jack. In AV2 I hear sound from right channel but no image, on tv tuner only right sound channel, the same for AV1.
So I started to look for a service manual, I found one, and started from the beginning.
Most of the times the caps are the problem so I orderer all the caps for all boards,...

      by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Tele-master AS-20 amplifier. No output sound, just noise
      by Francesc V.
      Hi:

I bought this amplifier from the 70s to try to repair it. So far it has no output sound, just noise. You can volume it up and down.

I've checked fuses and all are ok.
      I've continued with capacitors:
      • The main black one should have 4700uF, but it has lost half of its capacity during these years.
      • The ones that I've numbered have still a really low ESR and the full capacity after ¿40 years?

The 4 transitors are perfect. Desoldered and tested individually.
There are also components which I don't know exactly what they are....

Panasonic TH-55AS670A no picture no sound
      by mar1in
      Hi everyone,

I've got this Panasonic TV here with the following symptoms:

      * Standby Light is solid RED
      * Turning on using the Button on the TV (long press) would change LED to blinking GREEN
      * After a couple of seconds, LED is solid GREEN and without picture or sound.

I've tried a couple of things before tearing it apart:

      * Resetting using various combinations of powerbutton and volume buttons pressing down while booting.
      * Activating Self Check according to service manual using IR Blaster (we have no remote unfortunately)...

      Panasonic Heatpump Dryer Repair
      by BigPete
I picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.
      I have...
