Re: Sharp Aquos
I have the above error code. How do I repair a Panel 5 volt failure? I have a 37" Aquos that fell off a shelf. I have repalced a broken power board and two CCFL backlights. I checked the backlights before closing up the unit and they were all working.

Will getting a new power supply fix all this or even then I'm lucky if that holds up for a few months?Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos
Its just the light I had on for more lighting, I can't do much better because I'm using my cell phone for the pics (but they should be better...)
If when I connect the TV back up, and Im still getting the same message, is it safe to say I haven't done more damage?
So the OPC and POWER flash twice and they are still doing the same thing, if I were to get a new power board would that get the tv back to working condition, or no there could be more?Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos
Too grainy... looks like flash reflection too.
Best bet is to turn flash off, and get some good natural light - outside often works well....Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos
I am afraid your pictures are not really clear enough for troubleshooting the fo
following is what I normally advise newcomers.
Welcome to the forum-
We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Re: Sharp Aquos
Twice power and twice OPC indicates 3.3V power failure.
I would suggest checking all the LDO regulators on the board - if you need help with locating these post back with a picture of your main board (HDMI, tuner etc on it.)Leave a comment:

Are there any labels near the connector which goes from the power supply to the main board?Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos
Its the one on the top right (near where the power cable goes in), I have a digital multimeter... but its been a few years since I used it
I did everything I can do, without doing anymore damage then I have already done, I really don't have any other ideas. I put the boards and everything back on and at least nothing is worse off then before lol.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos
There looks to be two relays on the board - one bottom left and one top right - which one of these clicks?
Do you have a digital multimeter?Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos
I have taken pictures of all the boards, nothing appears to be wrong with any of them from a visual point of view lol...(only the little thermal compound things that I have to put back.)
Here is the address so maybe you guys could take a look and maybe you might see something:

Re: Sharp Aquos
I still am, I was just saying that if I were to hold the CH DOWN and VOL UP then press the Power button I would get a steady power LED on instead of the flashes, but it would be pointless because everything is the same and I couldn't even turn off the tv without unplugging it.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos
So right now you are no longer getting flashing error codes?

by scubacamperI found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display... -
by sefosterI have a Sharp Aquos LC-80LE757U that randomly made a loud popping noise when when watching TV one day. We found that the fuse blew and the thermistor. We ended up replacing the entire power supply board and have also replaced the TCON board. Now as soon as I plug the TV in it lights up and has the Sharp logo flashing on and off of the screen. If I unplug the ribbon cable from the TCON board to the main board I get the 2 long 5 short error code. Any ideas on where to go from here? We've tried resetting it but nothing has worked. If we plug it in and let it cycle through the flashing of the Sharp...

by jonah1024Hello!
I'm a few days old into this TV screens repair universe so please bear with me.
Recently, and all of a sudden my 40ā 4K Sharp Aquos LCD TV turned on with colors all smudged in some places on the screen that remain like that even without any kind of video source. I do have image but the colors are smudged/tinted/ washed out in patches as per defects. This to me looks similar to burn in but Iām shore this is not an OLED.
- I did the classic unplug and hold power button to discharge the caps but it didn't help.
- I did a factory reset as well...5 Photos -
by klassicHi community,
I will describe my problem with a TV in those short following terms to be the most precise :
What i have :
Sharp Aquos LC-60LE635E
power board DPS-162KP-1
main logic board QPWBXF733WJN2
symptoms :
white led light logo at startup,
after 2 minutes, blinking 3 times a row, repeating
no backlight (and apparently no picture, checked panel with flashlight)
no startup sound
powerboard investigations :
1-2 PNL : 0v
3-4 GND
5-6-7-8 UR : 13.15v
9-10-11-12... -
by foxyUKCan anyone help me diagnose this? Almost not worth bothering with, but it has 'sentimental value' for the owner. I'm no TV technician, but dabble a bit.
The TV has standby power but no reaction at all to switching on or reboot steps, No flashing lights or response to menu button. All voltages on the power board are correct apart from missing voltage on pin 12 of CN7003.
There is 13 v on U7053 but no 3v signal to switch it on. I don't really understand whether the 3v should come from U7401 in the standby control area, or (as suggested elsewhere) from the mainboard via pin 12.... - Loading...
