Re: Sharp Aquos
Will getting a new power supply fix all this or even then I'm lucky if that holds up for a few months?

Re: Sharp Aquos
Its just the light I had on for more lighting, I can't do much better because I'm using my cell phone for the pics (but they should be better...)
If when I connect the TV back up, and Im still getting the same message, is it safe to say I haven't done more damage?
So the OPC and POWER flash twice and they are still doing the same thing, if I were to get a new power board would that get the tv back to working condition, or no there could be more?

Re: Sharp Aquos
The power board? I didn't see anything when I had it out.
Wish I hadn't messed with the main board if I had known earlier about the power failure.Last edited by lapisto; 06-09-2012, 11:58 AM.

Re: Sharp Aquos
Its the one on the top right (near where the power cable goes in), I have a digital multimeter... but its been a few years since I used it
I did everything I can do, without doing anymore damage then I have already done, I really don't have any other ideas. I put the boards and everything back on and at least nothing is worse off then before lol.

Re: Sharp Aquos
I have taken pictures of all the boards, nothing appears to be wrong with any of them from a visual point of view lol...(only the little thermal compound things that I have to put back.)
Here is the address so maybe you guys could take a look and maybe you might see something:

Re: Sharp Aquos
I still am, I was just saying that if I were to hold the CH DOWN and VOL UP then press the Power button I would get a steady power LED on instead of the flashes, but it would be pointless because everything is the same and I couldn't even turn off the tv without unplugging it.

Re: Sharp Aquos
sorry what I mean is I got the power LED to go on and stay on, instead of just clicking and going back into the power and opc flashing twice pattern. But no I got nothing other then the power LED going on and staying on, no light, and not able to use any input, connection, or even see any menus or turn volume up or down.

Re: Sharp Aquos
BTW I got the TV to turn on by holding CH DOWN and VOL UP but nothing came on however I didn't even get a backlight coming on so its not a bad thing. ? The TV will just do that regardless ? Because I read that if the backlight came on and there was no picture or sound then it would not be repairable?

Re: Sharp Aquos
The problem is when I plug it in, I get the POWER and the OPC lights flash twice and then nothing, and then the same thing keeps on happening. If I try to power the tv on, it clicks on then goes off with another click. (BTW I don't know what I did but by general cleaning of the insides I managed to get the time between the two clicks to be longer, that lasted for 5 min however. It might be just the cool weather that hit it lol.)
lol, I'll read through the manual thx.

Sharp Aquos
Hi,
I have a SHARP AQUOS TV, Model Number: LC-37D62U, which I purchased a few years ago. It is now no longer turning on.
It clicks on, but then goes into a pattern of : (x=off) (0=on)
----(0) 2x---------(x)------------(0) 2x----
(Power) (Sleep) (OPC)
Over and over, I have researched this problem but for nearly all others the power led powers on again, since this is not the case for me, do you think I can fix it without having to get a new power or main (or other) board?
I have searched and tried all the things I...
