Also, it takes about 10-15 minutes before it gets to this bright white screen. When you first turn the tv on, it actually looks normal.

        Re: Insignia NS L42Q 10A

I have an Insignia NS-L42Q-10A tv and I have the layer of white on the screen and when I put the menu up that still has the layer of white. I have been looking for the T-Con Board for it but can't find the exact one that matches my part number. TX-5542T06C12-96M-DL40000-03000-05 that's the number on the white barcode sticker on the T-Con Board. Can I use a different board? I sent in a request to Shopjimmy a few days ago but they still have not gotten back to me. Thanks, JR

The QFP on my T-Con board is marked AS15-HF. What does the -HF mean?
Can I replace it with any AS15-__ ? Are there AS15-__ with bad -__ or date codes to stay away from?
I plan to order 1 from Ebay, just not sure which -__ to get.
I have read thru many posts but I did not find these answers.
            Thanks for the input

              Spec sheet:
Exposed pad type package is not going to be easy to remove from the board.
See PDF to see what the exposed pad means.

                Thanks for the fast reply!
If i am understanding correctly I need to replace the AS15-HF with another exposed pad part -HF or -HG.
If I find the part would you recommend a heat gun for removal - possibly cut all the leads first?
The part removal maybe somewhat difficult but I know what to expect now. I am sure I would have damaged the board not knowing about the exposed pad part.
Now I am more worried about installing the part than removing it.
Thank You for the Part data and exposed pad part info.

Hi, I have a Insignia NS-L42Q-10A that when I turn it on the light changes from red to blue but no picture and no sound, checked the power suplly and the fuse was ok but on the plug were there should have 12v and 24v didn't get any voltage readings, the 5v was ok. Should I go and get a new power supply or there is more testing to do? Any help would be appreciated.

Post some photo's of your circuit boards. Looks initially like the mainboard is not sending power on signal. Need to measure the voltages on the connector going to the mainboard and give the pin names and number of each.

We need to know the pin name of each pin and follow by the Voltage reading of each pin so we can easily see what you have and do not have when TV is OFF and when power switch is activated.

Let me try and help you. You could just fill in the blanks. Plug in the Tv to the ac and take these voltage readings WRT chassis ground. ie the BLACK probe on the chassis.
                                  Pin No. Descriptor Voltage
                                  pin 1 ON/OFF
                                  pin 2 PDIM
                                  pin 3 +12V
                                  pin 4 +12V
                                  pin 5 GND
                                  pin 6 GND
                                  pin 7 GND
                                  pin 8 24V
                                  pin 9 24V
                                  pin 10 PS-ON
                                  pin 11 5V

                                    Hi Peeps.

Just a quick question please as I am by no means an Apple fundi at all.

Can a 'popped' battery cause the Macbook to be completely dead? Client said the battery definitely popped. It doesn't look swelled or anything but it doesn't switch on at all. No lights, no fans, nothing.

Also, using a 85W original Apple charger. That is working for sure. Does it need more wattage?

Don't want to go buy a battery for no reason.

Client is adamant is worked before the battery popped and I can't see any damage what so ever on the board...

Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...

LG 55UH6150- trouble powering up, then half lit screen (pictures!)
                                    by valvashon
The 55" LG has been in the basement for a few months without being used. Turned it on yesterday, set came on as it should and showed a complete screen for about 5 seconds (was on a broadcast channel but no antenna was connected), then the screen went mostly dark with about 1/3 of the screen on the right lighting up with brighter lines in that lit part (sorry, no pictures of that). Power LED was cycling too, preventing the TV from fully powering up.
Pulled the back off, all boards looked OK. Pulled the LED connector, turned the set on to see if it would power up but I don't belive it...

                                    SVOD4 PCB pictures + parts
                                    by 2elw
Hey, I find it very absurd that the SVOD4 costs so much and has zero documentation. I had no other choice than to buy it to unlock ECs, if there was any documentation or firmware avalible I could've made it or something simmilar. Anyways here are some of the most important parts:

STM32H723VGT6 MCU - It's a microcontroller by STMicroelectronics and its the whole brain of the SVOD4. It has flash memory for the firmware which can be updated by the SVOD4 program. Its also powered by the AMS117 which converts 5v into 3.3V. 7€ on AliExpress.

                                    GW1N-UV9UG169C6/I5 FPGA - Its a...
