Fujitsu Siemens Myrica V32-1 - backlight, but no image

    Hi all!

I just got this, presumably defunct TV for free - and it seems that the backlight works, and the TV turns on just fine. No image ever appears, and i can't seem to get it to work with either VGA, SCART or RCA video. (RCA+SCART seems to be connected to another board than VGA and DVI). I opened it up, and i can't find any obvious bulging caps.

I found another thread describing what i think may be the same as my problem: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=17990

So, I took out the power board, and it seems there is brown marks around both sides of one of the diodes - is this normal or do you think this is where the problem is? Look at the attached pictures.. :-)

The power board is a PSM192-240, and i found a replacement @ ebay for about $50 incl. shipping. Should i buy that and hope that the power board is what needs replacing? (I'm in Norway and nowhere near a radioshack - so it's hard to just go out and buy the right components! :-( )

    Thanks a lot! :-)

    The first two suspects are

    1) bad component on the logic board or bad logic board
    2) blown fuse on the t-con panel

We need pictures of every board on your TV. The t-con board may be hidden behind a metal shield. The t-con is usually near the top of the tv.

Thanks a lot for the reply! :-)

I'm sorry if therse are the wrong boards, i don't know what a t-con panel is (yep, noob here!) but maybe it is the one on the left in the picture, under the plastic cover? Should i rip the plastic cover off and check? (I can't seem to figure out how to remove the large panel where most of the boards are mounted - it seems to be glued to the frame or something??)

        1) Your t-con is likely in the area circled in red. Follow the cables circled in yellow. They likely are connected to the bottom of the t-con.

        2) Do you have a multimeter and are your familiar with how to measure DC voltage and resistance?

This looks like an OEM TV made by Funai (searching for t32134). The service manual looks like it has the same boards.

I only downloaded the first one and took a quick look.
