    RCA LED 42A55R120Q no picture

Hello all and thank you for allowing me to join your great group.. I have a RCA LED 42" model: LED42A55R120Q its power up fine and can not change input source or change channels, it shows in the screen a small window at the bottom of the screen like someone is pressing the remote button to lower the volume, so it shows the number "0" for lowest level of volume, and stays there like someone have the lower volume pushed all the time. I have remove the batteries from the remote and still the same, also pushed many time the buttons behind the TV, and unpluged the power still the same. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated ....

So the TV functions fine, but the volume is constantly stuck at zero?

You have taken a good step by cleaning the buttons as this is a #1 cause. However, sometimes the buttons get stuck inside.

When you open up your TV, remove the button board and see if the problem cures itself. Then, to cure the problem permanently (while still having buttons), use a bit of contact cleaner on the buttons. I had a similar problem with a TV that would turn off as soon as you turned it on.

With the volume 0 display showing can you access the setup menus?

If you unplug the button bar can you change the volume using the remote or is the remote sensor in the button bar?.
You can check if the remote is sending signals by aiming it at a digital camera
and viewing it on the camera screen.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

This is what I have tried, removed the batteries of remote control, and unplug the button bar at the same time, and still the same, then I tried with the cable box remote and still the same, then remove batteries of both remotes and still the same.

Tom, I have no access to the setup menus

Can you post a picture of the main board, the button boards, and the overall layout of your TV?
