    Sanyo DP46848 different problem

    1st hello everyone,

I found this TV on the road hoping to fix it. I've fixed a 42" Samsung and a 32" Vizio that both had bad caps/overheating, but those are easy fixes (both plasmas).

When I turn this TV on I can see a flash inside the tv where the panel starts to light up then goes off. You can see it light up in the front as well. after about 10 seconds the TV turns off, the screen is dim this whole time. After doing this twice, on the third time the screen will actually come on after about 10 seconds to show "Video 2," and if I hold the volume button it will show the volume increasing. I also hooked sound up that works only after the screen comes back on and goes away when the TV shuts off. This lasts for about 2 seconds then the entire TV shuts off until I unplug it unless I manually turn it off just before it would shut off. Sometimes I can prolong it slightly by constantly turning the power on and off until I let it load up. I never get video (I forgot to unhook HDMI from cable box so probably user error). When the screen comes on I don't notice any dim areas.

I changed most of the caps on the power board that usually seem to go bad IE anything 10-16v that I had extras of, and had no change. I changed a few capacitors that were probably fine on the main board and no change. I also tested the fuse. I ordered a capacitor tester and have a voltmeter but have never tested a tv circuit with the TV on. No capacitors were visibly blown.

I will post more/better pics tomorrow, hoping my info was enough to flag something.

This is a diagram I made to make replacing caps easier. All the ones with blue circles I replaced.

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum-
We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

If you unplug the lvds cable do the back lights stay on?
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

      Re: Sanyo DP46848 different problem

This is probably a power supply or inverter issue.

The best first step is to measure the voltage running to the inverter board (usually 12-24v) it should be marked clearly on the board next to each wire running to the inverter. To test these wires you set your multimeter to DC voltage in the 200v range (or higher) and then put the black probe on the metal frame of the tv, or on a screw holding one of the boards down. Then put the red probe against the wire your testing. This should be done with the tv on (during the 2 seconds it comes on) and while all the boards are still connected and in place. (you will have to probably jam the red probe in the back of the connector till you get good contact with the wire)

Please post a picture closeup of the connector going to the inverter board, as well as a good picture of the inverter boards top and bottom.
Fixed so far 12 lcd's , 1 plasmas, 5 monitors, 0 dlp's (plan to keep the dlps at 0). and 3 atx power supplies, and 2 motherboards.

Until my wife gets home I'm limited to my phone for pictures. Sorry for quality. I was looking at the back of the inverter board and noticed this on the Master inverter board:

It appears to my untrained eye that the solder wandered from the pin to the MLCC? I don't want to mess with the solder till I get a

Would this be enough? I didn't see anything burned or missing but again, I will post pics when I can get wife's camera. (I haven't tested voltages yet, I should have done that first but I'm too deep atm)

          i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

          Lenovo T580 - LCD Panel problem - error 0288
          by perzyk23
          Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....

          Dell 15R-5521 keyboard problem (KBC?)
          by SDNarcia
Hello, I have a Dell 15R-5521, with the problem that the Ctrl, Alt, Shitf and Num Lock keys do not work, I tested the keyboard with a keyboard tester and it is functional, I also got another new keyboard and the computer has the same problem with the same keys. Check continuity between the ZIF connector from the keyboard to the KBC and all pins are correct. I cleaned the ZIF connector and the KBC and I still have the same problem. I reinstalled windows just in case, and it didn't work. I updated the BIOS to the latest version A16 and there were no changes.

          As additional information,...

Lenovo Legion 5 high fan spin turns off after 34 seconds
          by twonk9098
          Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.

I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.

I have tried a few new bios but exactly...
