Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
Does the pop happen without the resistor? I would start checking the VS_ON voltage and see if it is stable. If it starts at 5V and drops to 0V, for some reason the main board is switching off the power supply. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
With the power plugged it and tv off I get 1.65v as soon as I hit power button it goes to .28v then right back up to 3.90v during remaining boot process. When it powers down automatically i get 1.65v again.Comment

Where is your ground? That reading like the AC detect is very strange. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

How does AC detect behave when that connector is disconnected (TV probably won't power up)Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
AC-ON with checking the connector out and touching the pin I get 4.35v. When I plug the connector in and check from the back of the connector I get 3.78v.Comment

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
Can you move it from AC detect to VS ON? This will have the effect of keeping the sustain voltages on continuously. It may still shut down however. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
Did you try with VSON resistor, did TV stay on? If it didn't, did the Vs/Va go away or stay? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
everything today has been with the resistor. How can I tell about Vs/Va go away or stay? TV has been turing off as usual.Comment

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
With resistor in VSON do Vs or Va disappear. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
Sorry my IQ goes down on the weekend. But Va .7 when not on and then 60.2 during boot before shutting down. Vs. Is 6.4 when not on. As soon as I hit power button it dropped to .5 then went to 190.7 during boot before shutdown. This is with resistor at VSON and STBY5V.Comment

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
Hmm. This is strange. I'm not sure now if the PSU is just shutting down due to a fault. What other pins are there on the control connector, anything else like "PSON"?Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
5VDET is 0 just plugged in and 4.98 during bootup. Top VSON is 1.6 just plugged in and 3.9 during bootup. Bottom VSON is .47 idle and 3.57 during bootup. All is without resistor.Comment

SO i turn the laptop on , and as soon as it starts booting from disk, from usb, windows, linux,HBCD,anything i boot it just turns off....while in bios menu or in linux boot menu it stays on normally...It's like when it starts to use graphics it shuts down...But i measured 0.72V while working on the GPU power line,no excess heat is comming from GPU or CPU, i even removed the heatsink and turned the laptop on and everything worked fine, got a bit hot, fan span to full speed, but it worked like that for few minutes in bios...10-29-2024, 12:05 AM -
by Giggle2562Hello everyone,
I have a Lenovo V15-IKB that had a damaged motherboard. I replaced it with a motherboard from a Lenovo V15-IIL.
The board powers on, but it shuts down after about 10-15 seconds. This only happens when the internal display (LCD panel) is connected.
Here's what I've tried so far:- When the internal display is disconnected, the laptop works perfectly fine via HDMI.
- The laptop shows an image on the internal display for a few seconds before it shuts down.
- I tried swapping the LCD panel with a known good one.
- I tried swapping the LCD cable

by brav1ezHello everyone,
I have an ASUS TUF Gaming FX505GD that's powering on, showing the ASUS logo for about 2 seconds with keyboard backlight, then immediately shuts off. After it shuts down, the power button does nothing until I unplug the laptop completely. No fans spin afterward either.
I’ve tried:
- CMOS reset
- Removing the SSD/HDD
- Reseating RAM (removing each stick individually stops boot completely)
- Cleaning up recently applied thermal paste around CPU/GPU and nearby VRM components (issue persists)

by chaos-theoryI have a really weird problem, this motherboard was working normally, someday it just started and all fans were running but didn't want to post, tried resetting bios, checking CPU and it was getting warm tried external gpu, flashed bios with programmer, but same problem.
Next day after several attempts the board goes into protection mode, no more staying on, I turn on the PSU fans starts directly turning, it used to not start until I press the pwr button, now it starts directly and fans spins, and shuts off after 3 seconds sometimes less, then won't start again unless I unplug the PSU and... - Loading...
