Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
Well i use 3 paperclips to connect the working connector from main board to both fans. After a few seconds both fans did spin but then the tv shut down like it always has.

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
I bridged by using those resistor from earlier in this post and one fan worked. Would I need a regular piece of wire instead?

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
I know both fans work but only the one plugged in the left brown connector.Last edited by brentkhack; 07-04-2012, 03:44 PM.

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
First question, should both fans be on at all times? The right brown connection on the board is the one that will not turn the fan on during startup. But there is power there just like the left connection. The other pic are the back soldering. I'm not sure exactly how it should look. Last pic is one ground wire came out of the connector. What would you suggest on how to fix this. It plugs into top of main board. Thanks....

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
So replace both fans? Where do I get the correct one's with the proper connections?...

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
Well the tech guy where I bought the PSU from said to switch out the main board. He asked if both fans were on I said no, only the left fan was on. So he had me swith wires from the fan and then only the right fan worked. This led him to believe the main board isn't working correctly. What do you think?

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
.
The first sentence didn't make sense. I need to get either a 1 or 10th ohm resistor between which two pins on the psu? I also tried taking out one fuse at a time and nothing changed. How many watts on the resistor?...

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
What are Y buffers? Yes the Y board has 2 fuses. The X board has 1.

Just shoot me. 5VON is .47 at idle and 3.57 during boot up. 5VDET is 0 at idle and 4.98 during bootup.

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
5VDET is 0 just plugged in and 4.98 during bootup. Top VSON is 1.6 just plugged in and 3.9 during bootup. Bottom VSON is .47 idle and 3.57 during bootup. All is without resistor.

I have changed out the main PSU and get the same problem. Here is what else is available....

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
Sorry my IQ goes down on the weekend. But Va .7 when not on and then 60.2 during boot before shutting down. Vs. Is 6.4 when not on. As soon as I hit power button it dropped to .5 then went to 190.7 during boot before shutdown. This is with resistor at VSON and STBY5V....

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
everything today has been with the resistor. How can I tell about Vs/Va go away or stay? TV has been turing off as usual.

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
STBY5V was 5.02v powered off and 4.98v during boot. VS ON was 5.00v off and 4.96v during boot....

Re: LG 60PY3DF shuts off
With everything hooked up and not turned on I get 4.58v, when I turn it on I get 4.55v during the whole boot process....
