Vizio VX42LHDTV10A weird white semi circles

I have replaced some caps on both inverter boards(symptom=I had the backlight on, that's it), they were popped and the picture came back but these white semi circles showed up.
Same thing I have on another TV set which is an LG 42"C7D, but on this set I had to replace some blown caps on the PS board and on this TV set I can see some white spots in the same five spots, but they are much smaller then on the Vizio.
    What this could be?

I was afraid that was the symptom you were describing. Your LCD panel is bad.

Too much pressure has been applied to the LCD panel, and it has been damaged.

I've never seen this type of damage. I've only
seen cracked panels, so this is new to me.

When you say too much pressure, do you mean pressure
from the front, or applied against the edges?

How does this type of damage occur? And why are the
            semi-circles so evenly spaced?

And this type of damage looks even harder
to detect than cracks, if the inverters and CCFLs
do not light up. If you are buying a broken TV,
how do you check for this type of damage?

actually both TVs are clear of this issue.
I have just left them running for a couple of hours and I don't see these white spots/semi circles any more.
The Vizio I had it stored horizontally for a couple of days, maybe that was the cause of this issue.
The LG I had it vertically though. Maybe the original owner had it stored in a horizontal position for a while.

                I spoke to early.
Today I started the TV and they were back for a couple of minutes and then they disappeared again.
It looks like when it's cold they appear and when the TV is warmed up they will go away.
What else could I check on this TV.
I have replaced all four capacitors on the inverter boards, they were all blown. These are the famous boards, like in the Philips TVs where usually the IC and some Fets fail.
There could be other components failed, maybe in the power supply?

No its a pressure thing look on the back is this where the screws are in your bezel? If you or someone else had the tv apart and screwed it together too tight or you had the TV stood up or laying face down for too long in a closet it could do it... If it is not on a stand the best bet is to either put it on its stand while storing lay it on its back this should remove any strain on the screen. I would loosen them screws just a turn and run the TV for like a couple days straight letting it stay warm for a while with a changing picture like the cable box or something that might do the trick in this case.

ive got the exact same spots on a 42" lg, but like an idiot its been face down on the sofa for a couple of hours so this could be the cause, im just hoping the warming up with the tv on for a few hours will sort it, because i only got a donor tv today just for the screen!! thought it might have been a back light fault, so ended up taking the lcd out and fitting it on the original back light i had, then i tried swopping the main board for another one and still no change, there is how ever 1 bad cap but i dont think this would cause this, but ive ordered some and gonna replace the lot on the power board just to be sure the tvs sound for a few years, thats if the screen sorts its self out, other wise ive just wasted my money buying the donor tv!

In a couple of minutes they dissapear, that was puzzeling to me.
I ended up selling it very cheap together with the LG to the same buyer.

thats mine....exactly the same, and i know there is no screws in the bezel at those points shown so i know its not a pressure issue in regards to the screen, unless i caused this by lying it down on the sofa,

will post pic and let you know what caps ive changed if i can fix this, there is a total of about 6 caps which ive ordered on the power board which will be getting replaced but ill post picture if this cures the fault so you can see which caps they are

when the TV it's cooled down they will show up again. I have left it running like three days and they were still there.
I haven't changed any capacitors though on the power supply. I had to change four capacitors on the inverter boards, they were all blown.

could just about watch them fade in front of your eyes and within 2-5mins they were gone, but like you said when the tv was cold they were back, but after reading your post i decided not to leave it on, so was only on for about 3 hours if that

do you still have the panel taken apart?
it would be a good idea to try it out by heating/freezing the panel when it's cold and see if they would go away.
I'm a beginner, maybe somebody more experinced could help here how to diagnoze this issue.

Looks almost like the panel layers are seperating (like wavy/rippled paper after it got hot or wet)

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                          Assuming...

                                          Hi.

picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...

                                          Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

                                          Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

                                          ViZIO M70-D3 Completely Dead (Weird!)
                                          by goofykao@yahoo.com
Hi, Just joined this forum hoping to fix this TV.

Sorry for the long post to explain the problem in details.

Model: VIZIO M70-D3, 4 years old

What happened: TV had no issue at all and one day just died (4 weeks ago) and NO LED stand-by light (usually it's Red at bottom left front side)

Current status: Cannot power on and NO LED stand-by light

Strategy: Since I am not good at fixing boards at component level, it's better for me to just replace boards with known good ones
