Re: my sharp wont power on but red light on wont turn green when powered on
Hello And Welcome To The Site,
Without pictures of the circuit boards its kind of hard to say for sure. But would guess its probably capacitor related. Disassemble the unit and take decent pictures. Use the 'Manage Attachments" to post your pictures. And then perhaps someone could try to assist you further.
Good Luck For Now,

Re: my sharp wont power on but red light on wont turn green when powered on
Hi - Welcome- I do not know much in the way of advising you re the tv but I can help you get help. For a start you have started your thread in the wrong forum, you should be in troubleshooting tv's and video sources.
You need to do as lcdman suggests but in addition you need to post some information about yourself - electronic knowledge/soldering skills etc. How you came by the set -it makes a difference if you found it in a field or owned it for 2 years. Also what tools you have soldering iron /multimeter etc .Can you update your profile with at least the country you are in so that when it comes to buying parts you can be best advised. Read some of the other longer threads and see what other have done. You need to be accurate in what you tell us e.g. "problems turning the light on from red to green" what does that mean. We need a full story as we cannot see what is happening. When you switch on does it come on red, come on green then turn to red. come on red then turn to green does it flash at all, does the screen flash at all, is there any sound, hum hiss crackle etc - have you tried with any input dvd pc.
Tell us what you have tried so far. Can you find a schematic for the Tv and or the power supply.
Have you tried the standard factory reset for Aquis (sic) range of tvs
Factory Default Reset:
- Unplug the TV and count to 10 slowly.
- Hold down the power button on the TV (not the remote.)
- Plug in the TV while holding power button.
- Count to 10 and release the power button.
- Turn it on
When you have done all these things I suggest you start a new thread in the correct forum and this one will go dormantPlease upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair
