Give it a shot then with 270nF. I would like to be more help but I don't have a clue...!

Found some brown caps in my junk box similar to the blue ones, but much smaller for similar rating, I guess they must be a lower voltage rating.

Havent got any 270nf but have a 340 and 220 as they are going in parallel I guess the values wouldn't matter that much.

      Is it worth trying them?

Assuming you mean 330nF, in parallel with 220nF that makes 550nF, compared to 540nF. Close enough; these types of capacitors have a 5% or 10% tolerance and both are within that range. Are they definitely in parallel? A single 560nF may be okay.

I had thought about a single cap of 540nf but wondered if they were in parallel to avoid a catastrophic failure if it died.

Will try the 340nf and 220nf

Perfect! got a nice picture on the set now. Started up no problem with the caps and I managed to salvage just enough good 2SD965's from the first time I replaced them all.

All I need to do on this one now is repair the plastic tab that operates the standby switch.

Thanks guys for all the help, as usual.. this forum is awesome!

                by valvashon
For some reason I'm just not going to let this 19" TV defeat me. I guess because I have a schematic to work from I feel like I'm oh so close.

History- while adding a turn-on circuit I let a small screw roll under the power board. Worked through all of that circuitry, probably replacing a MOSFET and PWM controller that were not bad but I was following the service manual. Finally figured out that the power supply is in working order when the inverter section (for the backlights) is disconnected. When the +12 supply to the inverter is disconnected the +12 and +5 will come up...

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
                by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                3. Problem: TV shuts down
                ...

                i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

                Hi,
on my previous post with help from this forum i found short circuit GIF5CH60TS-X
I replace it but again give me error for current over 16A.
I measure again and found short circuit between #15 and #16 (Cin and GND).
On PCB i remove R121 to check in which direction is short circuit. But this pin goed
to big copper piece on back side.
So i try to measure over every resistor and capacitor
But i can`t find any short circuit,
On example circuit of GIF5CH60TS-X is labaled that Cin can goes to GND in some cases:
                1. Through CSF (i don`t know...
