Sony kdl-32s2000 inverter/transformer

    Sony kdl-32s2000 inverter/transformer

    Hi all, I found a blown fuse and a shorted primary winding on 1 of the inverter transformers. I can't find a source for this type of coil.

    Anybody know where I can get 1? I don't want to buy a used board, they start at 75 and go up, ouch!

      Your photo is way too small to make out any identifying part numbers on the transformers, but try the usual ebay auctions.

          That looks like a common inverter board. You did not post numbers. I have lots of them. See if my picture is the same as yours.

              Yes that is the exact inverter board I have, so I looked around trying to find a replacement transformer and no luck so far.

                  Hi everyone, i am a newbie here and i hope i will find the help i need. I have the above mentioned receiver with standby transformer's primary coil damaged. I have searched the net without success to find any tech data about this transformer. I have only the Sony part number1-437-313-11 and TAM Malaysia M0126. I guess i could find replacement for it, but i need to know the secondary coil voltages and VA. It is 220v on the primary. It has 5 pins on the secondary, the outer two are not used and i have 6.5 ohms between pins 2and 4, 3,9 ohms between 2 and 3, and 3,6 ohms between 3 and 4. Can someone...

                  Power transformer has open circuit on the 230v primary side, its tapped for 115v too which is also open so most likely the thermal fuse has blown. It doesnt look like it would be possible to open it up to check the thermal fuse so looking to replace.
                  What are peoples thoughts on repair?
                  replace the one transformer with 2
                  replace like for like, though unlikely to find a direct replacement...
