    update on this lg telly

lg 32lcd2 symptoms are no picture or sound i have checked the caps and noticed one bulging replaced it

    c208=680uf.16v still same symtoms.
i have tried all the scart plugs with xbox etc but to no avail even linking the laptop to the rgb connector still

    no picture.
the screen shows a blue screen with a no signal logo moving around the screen. can not use the remote to turn tv

off really nothing as it wont function at all now i olso have done some voltage measurments on the psu p201-

    p202-p203.
after reading wrogs posts regarding this set and done the things he was asked to do and this is what i came up

    with.

    p201---no. 1)3.4von=2.00v
    2)gnd=
    3)6v=6.05v
    4)DIM=2.83v
    5)gnd=
    6)st5v=5.06v
    7)ERI=2.77v
8)ERR=the voltage i get on this pin starts to drop and what does the ERR STAND FOR ERROR MAYBE
    9)i-c)4.8V
    10)GND
    11)ST5V=5.06V
    12)ON=3.16V
    13)acd=5.10V

    P202---no. 1)gnd
    2)12v=11.92v
    3)gnd
    4)3.4v=1.08v
    5)gnd
    6)6v=6.05v
    7)gnd
    8)gnd
    9)16v=19.25v
    10)16v=19.25v

    p203---no. 1)gnd
    2)gnd
    3)12v=11.92v
    4)12v=11.92v
    5)gnd
    6)gnd
    7)6v=6.04v
    8)6v=6.04v
    9)gnd
    10)gnd
    11)3.4v=1.08v
    12)3.4v=1.08v

    i olso checked Q123=23.5v .
im not sure if i checked the smd that runs across the relay and i get these reading using my dmm in the diode

setting=d160=.486-one way and 459 the other way d161 shows 1.540 and 587 and can a bad relay give these symtoms as

it looks like a bunt mark on the component side of the pcb.
im sorry ill try and get some decent pics up for yous to look at as i keep failing in loading pics on my post ty

all for looking. and hope iv done this correct.

Sounds like it could be the main av board if no response from buttons

the av board im right in thinking that the av board is the board with the scarts on it.
ill post some pictures as can a bad relay give the same problems as i can see what looks like a hole on the pcb of the psu near smd d160 diode and 161 looks like solder is missing and from the component side the relay shows a burnt sign on the board

Re: update on this lg telly

ive removed the relay and tried to get resistace or continuty on it but nothing was using a dmm and i think the burnt mark on the pcb i dont think is meant to be there as i was thinking it didint look right but i could be wrong.
and where would i get in the uk or the net the right smd diodes and the relay from as i cant seem to find the right one or im searching it wrong again ty all for looking at my problem .
and is there anything i can do to be sure that the problem could be as the other fella stated the av board could be bad.

If you put 5volts across the coil of the relay (2 tabs on the right of pic) the relay should click on, then check the other 2 contacts, should be closed when power applied.

netdent - that relay needs 18 volts for the coil. Refer to the second photo in post #4.
Stupidity should be a crime, especially for drivers. I have NO patience for them.

Oh right! well spotted, jumped the gun, I tested one today, must have been smaller voltage, would think 12volts will power the coil enough to test, sorry

well im not sure in testing it would this be right that i use a dc volts supply say a adapter with either 12 v or 18 v preferibly and atach the pos+ and neg- to the 2 pins u pointed out in post 5 so i will see if it clicks.
but i could hear it click when ac plug is pluged in the tv makes 3 clicks that sound fast compared with my other 2 tv a samsung and a old samsung they sound to be slower in ticking if that makes sense.

If you power it as you said you can check to see if the switch is closing with your multimeter on the other 2 contacts, should be open when not powered

Re: update on this lg telly

I had a Panasonic set with a fried main relay. There was a charred spot on the board and the contacts were stuck in the on position.

Occasionally I got a nasty arcing sound from it along with the smell of burning plastic. The funniest thing was when I hit the power off button the video drive was cut off but it still had deflection .

If the coil registers as an open circuit when you perform a resistance test the relay is bad. That along with the burnt plastic on the coil contacts signifies it's fried.

                      Hi!
Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).

Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...

                      Hello to everyone ,

This is my first post here, and i would like to share with you a small story in case you can help me.

Docker Type-C Gen 2 - Model 40AS. Was given to me by a friend for free ,but with the problem that you cannot use the video output ports.

All ports work , USB , Ethernet, Type C ... but HDMI + Display Port don't work

I searched on reddit and google for problem similar to that, and a LOT of people had fixed this problem by updating the firmware. So i tried , i searched and found 1.1.13 utility and 1.1.20 utility that can help...

z490-f gaming bricked after bios update
                      by lordgeny
I had to assemble a PC with this Z490-F Gaming motherboard and an i7-1700K CPU. Upon the first boot, the CPU LED was red and flashing. I realized that I needed to update the BIOS. I didn't read the ASUS notice that said, "Before BIOS update, please download Intel ME update tool from ASUS support site, and update ME firmware to Version 14.1.53.1649V1.1 to ensure optimized system settings." I updated the BIOS without doing this, and everything seemed fine until the system performed an Intel ME update and shut down permanently. My attempts to reflash it were unsuccessful. Searching online,...

this board suffered from a bad trackpad and bad keyboard after liquid damage; board was turning on no issues..
we've replaced the bad trackpad and bad keyboard no issues whatsoever.. during 2nd final checkup we booted to an external macOS and there started the critical update issue; it boots externally but to the internal SSD it shows critical update; tried Wi-Fi tried Ethernet tried Hotspot same thing..
One weird symptom is it takes too long to power on and show the Apple logo for some reason..

                      Update bios EFCN58WW to EFCN59WW
                      by al3m0di
Update bios EFCN58WW to EFCN59WW for solving The Connected AC adapter has a lower wattage than the recommended AC adapter

                      I have a Lenovo Legion 5 15imh05a device that I bought used online. It came with a 20V 8.5A 170W charger.

                      The BIOS version is EFCN58WW.

When I turn on the device, it displays the message:
"The Connected AC adapter has a lower wattage than the recommended AC adapter..."

The device rarely charges the battery, and even when it does, it doesn't show that it's charging.

                      I've tried
