  • Re: hakko tip i dont know

kiriakos mate im just starting out and it was a ebay sale one of those rebranded units a 3-1 hot air, psu, and soldering iron, wep 853d and the ad looking at it says real hakko element from japan but for the inexperinced i never read the ad properly my error i presumbed it was the iron too blue and yellow colour hakko thats there colours im sure and im on a budget arghhh done more digging and seen that the ceramic element come in 64mm and 60 mm im sure thats right so even being a clone iron they sent the wrong size of tip as that tip would have been fine...

  • Re: hakko tip i dont know

i done a little more digging regarding this clone iron the hakko data for the ceramic element for the iron state it measures 64mm but mines measures 60mm thats why the tip dont fit snugly so the add they have i think is even wrong as it states genuin hakko ceramic element but that dont measure up to what hakko have and olso the add dont say that the iron is a real one just shows the pic of the iron which gives the illusion its a real one and the term used by them geniun hakko element and olso if u send images to a seller stating the problem can they enlarge...

  • Re: hakko tip i dont know

iv uploaded some pics to try show what i mean regarding tip moving the first pic is the model the next 2 pics show diffrent lenght as i pushed it in for 1 pic and pulled it out for the other and finally the last pic shows how much of a gap there is at the tip but as i said im unsure and some input would be great as im now unsure if this is a real hakko iron as it was stated the real hakko iron so again ty....

  • Re: can the psu be removed for testing

and for the life of me i couldint find the power supply schematic but that item must be somewhere how do the lg techs get by for their info any way the reason i think the fault lies in that area of those 3 smd ic 1 ic controller3037 and 2 ifr7807 mosfets as this is for the 32lc2d lcd tv and the voltages for both broken psu are roughly the same with the origianal showing on its 3.4v =1.00v and the replacment now the same as the original broken lol shows on its 3.4v line=1.39v. did the numbers look ok when i tested those mosfets i mean did i...

    source to drain=.308
q205 source to gate=1.655 and rises
source to drain=.308 and rises both are irf 3037 smd ic using my dmm on the diode setting have i done this correctly to test those mosfets ty again guys

  • Re: can the psu be removed for testing

just my luck ehh i dont have bench power supply as im at the end of my tether with this psu as im not prepaired to purchase another one so my aim is to try and repaire and learn more if possible and fix this and i belive iv narrowed it down to those small smd on the solder side of the board and it is this, i would like to check their voltages those components as i think the low 3.4 v is down to those being bad thank you very much for replying.

  • can the psu be removed for testing

i was wondering if its possible to remove the psu from my lcd tv and have it on the table so that i can get a better idea of the volts around those small smd at the solder side of the board on the 32lc2d lg, and if so how i have a idea how it may be done but not a 100 percent

  • Re: need help schematic psu 32lc2d lg

more problems with this tv i was too quick to think a replaced av board fixed the problem as i posted that it was sorted my mistake ,i ended up replacing psu which in fact fixed the issue of low 3.4 v line, and brought it back to good health but now its back same issue as before low 3.4 v line and c208 showing as popped capapcitor,so im thinking those small ic on the solder side of pcb are faulty think 3 in total irf etc as iv replaced all caps with good brand panasonic etc and they show good on my wee cap esr tester. and i still didint find...

  • toshiba equiem p300 16 t

my issue is obtaining a small flat ribbon cable for the said laptop the toshiba equiem p300 16 t model.as this goes from the on/off switch to motherboard but mines is defo need of replacment as ull see in pic.
i think iv measured the item correct in it being 73mmx5mm 4 pin with a 1mm pitch the gaps between the conductors think thats right.
but will i be able to use a cable from other laptop etc diffrent brand but same cable in use as the price if seen new is a bit strong i think for what it is.
thankyou any input will be great.

my issue is that when i open the lid of the laptop the screen turns pink diffrent colors the thing is if u catch it at the right angle u get the normal screen . has any body noticed that on these laptops as after some digging iv seen that the metal brackets on the lcd screen that are screwed to the laptop base the one on the left has snapped. which i thibnk has maybee loosened the solder joints of the connector for the inverter cable connection to laptop mb hope iv made sense explaining this thankyou .
