    it went dead without no standby light. which i had removed its power pack and measure its output voltage to the main picture board and reads normal 5.1/5.2vdc

      The first step usually starts with posting pictues of your set on Badcaps.net using "Manage Attatchments" on the posting page. These picures would show the set's front side, insides (full set layout of all boards), then each board single close ups.

      The explanation of failure could point towards either of the boards to be bad. There is nothing to suggest ruling out one or the other of the boards, especially because the set is not a major brand name.
