    Panasonic Plasma TH-42PZ77U Power Board

I have a Panasonic Plasma Model Number TH42-PZ77U with an issue with the power board. I pulled the power board and found a diode that was shorted. I went ahead and tried to find a replacement online, but I can't seem to find one. Can anyone let me know what this would be? Here is are the markings:

    T3D 68

It bears mentioning that the "eight" at the end is underscored. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

Same old rant. Nobody here has a crystal ball (although a couple have brass ones). The quality and quantity of information you give us will improve the quality and quantity of help you get. Pictures help. Noting the package type and location may be a reasonable substitute for pictures.

Googling T3D datasheet generates 68,000 hits, including one from Alldatasheet.com, which finds 79 possible matches, including 1 diode, a fast recovery RF2001T3D_10.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

Please be sure to discharge all caps on this board before anything else, there are several 450 volt caps that will hold a charge and sock it to ya!
Have you checked the diode out of the circuit?
If you have a location number (D606 or whatever is marked on the board), I should be able to get you at least a panasonic part number as long as its not located on one of the stand up daughter boards. If it is surface mount and does not have a location number on the board, please supply a photo of the entire board with a mark showing the area of the diode...as well as a close up of the area also with a mark indicating where the diode is.

Did you ever repair the power supply?? I have the same TV with the power supply shorting out..the 10 Amp fuses were blown I replaced them and they blew right away? I know it's a fet or something shorted out but I can find the problem.. Any input is appreciated!

Might be worth starting a new thread specific to yours. Not much in this one and I would also put the board number and a photo is also handy.

I've had very little to do with pansonic PSUs, the other blokes have done more.

Initially i read this expecting it to be similar to a PX70 PSu which i had fuse issues but looks like yours is a ETX2MM681MFS which is a different breed,

have you downloaded the manual and looked at the PSU schematics?

With my limited knowledge, maybe check Z601, MC601( marked HOT LIVE CIRCUIT) module board at the opposite end to where the Ac mains connects to the board, check RF601 (fusible resistor, large white ceramic) usually low ohms but can go open not going to cause fuses to blow but worth checking in case it too is open.

Disd a search and came up empty for one blowing fuses.

            Hi tw2005..

Thanks for the reply.. I'll give that a shot posting a new thread.. Norcal repairs a PX power supply close, but not the same animal..We'll see if I can hunt it down.. Thank again..
