Re: Insignia NS-LCD32-09 with power on/off issues
I would do the same thing that Bud advised me to do. Add solder to all the FETs on that power board. Let us know what happens. Good luck!

Re: LG 50PJ350 Power Supply Repair
Hi Tom,
I have this same LG set as well (50PJ350) and I recently put in a new power board after the screen went dark and got no sound. After putting in the new board, I still get no video, no OSD, but now I get static through the speakers, which is different than before. The static sounds like "snow" when you change channels with no input connected to it.
I have taken the voltages off the top off the rail and they are all solid and stable (VS=207, VA=60, M5V 5.1, etc), plus ALL the fuses on the power board,...

Re: Panasonic TH-42PZ85U (2) 1"1/4 inch vertical line down middle of screen
Hi Ahwen, I had this same set with the same issue, except it was a solid bar, right down the middle of the screen. I put a new "D" board in and the issue went away. Cost my $50.00 for the new board, but it worked like a charm. Again, same set and same issue, bar just looked a little different and was one solid bar. To your point, it would show up after the set started to warm up. I hope this helps you out!! Let us know if it does and good luck!

Panasonic TC-32LX85 power relay cycling, now dead.
Hi everyone, I have a Panasonic TC-32LX85 that over the past week had a relay that started cycling really bad upon starting the set. This is not your usual Panasonic led blink error code issue, this was the relay turning over every second for minutes on end. Since yesterday, the set is now totally dead and shows no signs of life. I took the back off to get at the power board and checked the fuse and it still has continuity and very low resistance, so no issues there. Caps all look good and there are also no outward signs of issues (scorch marks, burned components, etc)
I did try...Last edited by waitery; 05-27-2013, 09:39 PM.

Re: Insignia NS-LCD32-09 with power on/off issues
Hey Bud, I just went through all the FETs on the main board and retouched them with solder. We seem to be up and running again and the on off switch is running. I will burn test it for 24 hours and see if it fails. I will let you know....

Re: Insignia NS-LCD32-09 with power on/off issues
Bud, I used the attachment tool to attach this pic.
Also, I checked the PS_ON, per the schematic. When the unit turns itself off, the voltage drops off for PS_ON pinout as well. It falls to .059 volts and is steady. Let me know what's next....

Re: Insignia NS-LCD32-09 with power on/off issues
It seems to cut in and out at like 5-7 minute intervals. I pulled the output caps that feed the 5V line, thinking I had a high ESR issue or a lowered capacitance issue, but all three caps were good all the way around (ESR and Capacitance were both better that the nominal values).
When I put my meter on the 5volt STB line and the tv swithes on by itself, the voltage dips to 4.93 volts and then comes back up to 4.98-4.99 volts, but I have never seen it go to 5 volts at any time....

Insignia NS-LCD32-09 with power on/off issues
Have an Insignia NS-LCD32-09 with power issues, meaning that it turns itself on and off by itself at will. I took the back of the set off and measured the standby voltage on the power board, which should be at 5volts and it's anywhere from 4.95 to 4.99 volts. I am thinking that it is touching the threshold voltage and turning itself on and off. Power board model number is 715T2804-1.
Caps all "look" good and there are no visable issues with other components, burn/scorch marks, etc.
Any thoughts or ideas on what I can do for next steps?

Re: Insignia NS-L42Q-10A with no power/dead
Sorry for being gone the past few days. I had to run out of town for work and I needed to get a better camera in order to get the detail that you are looking for. Here are some more focused shots of the board that you requested. Please let me know what I can do to help troubleshoot this and thank you for your time!...

Your asking for the filter capacitor legs, correct?

The grey resistor is fuseable and it is fine. I just checked it.

Thanks Tom, I have been looking under a scope for problems and I can't seem to find anything under visual inspection.
