      Yes.
      These are bad capacitors:

You can see how the tops of them are pointed, when they should be flat.

Take off the back panel of your TV, and check the capacitors.
If any of them have a rounded top, they are bad!
Capacitors are can-like things that look like towers on the circuit boards.
While the cover is off the TV, it would be a good idea to take some pictures of the circuit boards.

Appreciate that Ben, yea I did TV repair for close to 15 yrs, but about as many years ago. Then they didn't have flat screens then, but I'm pretty sure the block diagram/flow chart is pretty much the same. Also caps don't have to have rounded tops to be bad or leaky and screw things up. Jumping them with a good cap will sometimes show them but you have to be careful what circuit your doing that in as it can make things worse. Best things is just replace caps in RC timing circuits which is where I'm pretty sure this will be. Primarily the electrolytics.

Mine at present is back to working so I have to wait for the problem to arise again. I really would like to hear back from grizzly with some pics and really really if he gets it repaired.

Intermittent problems such as you describe are probably due to bad solder joints, not bad capacitors.

Here are a couple of threads already started on this TV. You may find what you need here. If you have anything to add, add it in one of the threads of that model number.

Sorry if I am jumping in on the wrong thread here but,, I replaced the 3 caps on my 42PFL5432D power supply board,, and still I am getting this squeaking about every 1 sec, and of course no picture. Any thoughts. Its very difficult to locate the squeak but I think it is from the center transformer,,just not sure.

Multiple posts of the same problem in different threads is a good way to get ignored. Failing to give meaningful information increases the odds.

                    1. Where are the pictures of YOUR power supply?

                    2. Which caps did you replace?

                    3. What brand and series of caps did you use?

                    4. What were the original symptoms?

                    5. What are the output voltages of the supply?
