I have a 2.5 year old 26" Vizio that all of the sudden came up with the old no picture. A flashlight test verified that the screen is fine. The Vizio branding turn white when it is turned on.
I suspect this inverter (VIT70063.50 REV:3) has been problematic due to how many places sell replacements.
The first pictures show R26 being discolored. My meter measured around 68K on R26 and R34 measured around 70K for a comparison. I am getting 24V off the PSU. The 7A fuse directly off the 5 24V pins is good.
I get the following readings through pin 4 and pin 6 on each of the 10 coils labeled T1 through T10 from right to left:
T1 - 511 ohms
T2 - 515 ohms
T3 - 510 ohms
T4 - 518 ohms
T5 - 508 ohms
T6 - 509 ohms
T7 - 513 ohms
T8 - 509 ohms
T9 - 514 ohms
T10 - 516 ohms
My concern is that T6 and T7 are open between pin 1 and pin 6. The other 8 coils act like a cap is charging between pin 1 and pin 6. I am using the 2M scale on my RS multimeter. Should the big coil read closed
I think the 4 caps are good, but always willing to recap.
I am left guessing though... This is a common failure, but I have not found googly help anywhere. I was surprised by how many different model TVs use this same inverter.
Please ignore the splicing on the second picture. Thank you in advance for your kind input.
