    lct27ha36 noobie needs help

i have a ilo lct27ha36 and been having problems with it goin on and off. been able to do a hard reboot to get it to come on, i use it as a monitor mainly, set it at 1024 x 768 and was working fine. now it wont work at that display, but it works at 1280x1024 weird or at the 800x600. ive tried to change the display card on computer and get the same response. so it has to be on the tv , can anyone identify what my problem may be: ps i'm using it as i type.... also thanks for the welcome message

Take it apart and look for potentially bad capacitors.

Post pictures here. See misc #1 to see how to post pictures at

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

I agree with retiredcaps - I just rebuilt the power supply on mine and replaced the inverter board, although the problem was a little different, I had sound but no picture. There were MANY bad caps on the power supply, so I replaced tham all (about $30.00).
