So Bios is ok. 5v and 3.3v rail ok..and you can turn on and off the laptop with all the main voltage present. the processor warm up when on. The only problem is the display is blank, no video on external monitor. visual inspection first top and botton of the mobo and then try to run the system with bare minimum. try to power the motherboard only and place an external monitor to isolate it from the rest. try to boot it. make sure to place the heatsink and fan as AMD is known to heat up fast. Maybe an attachment is malfunctioning.. the LVDS cable is shorting or maybe the battery or wifi card. a...

I recently got hold of this laptop Fujitsu Lifebook E558.
Symptoms: Sometimes its ok, Sometime it hangs the system, sudden bump can cause the hang specially if you are using the HDMI as monitor, I am puzzled about the problem of this Laptop. erratic behavior of the usb, audio jack, lan port and HDMI port. and came across your thread maybe it my lucky day..😀😁😁😁
Thanks for the info its really a time saver and really solved the problem.
(the connector and cable really looks sturdy and doesn't suspect it to being the culprit) and planning to buy the daughter...Last edited by Duranitron; 11-30-2024, 10:00 PM.

Many Moderators here can determine either your bios is at fault. Just post the bios here to make sure that the bios is not faulty. all your voltage rail is normal. They can clear the ME region of your bios. Try that first before you jump in to the advance stageLast edited by Duranitron; 11-30-2024, 10:30 AM.

Have you saved the original bios of your unit? Supply the original bios of your model and post it here include the model # the serial number# or service tag serial number, many of the generous and kind hearted people here will to the rest... 😊😊😊 Try to flash the bios with clean ME...Last edited by Duranitron; 11-29-2024, 08:11 PM.

Thanks for the reply. I already turned on the unit by shorting the pin 25 of the keyboard connector.. only the 5v and 3v coil voltage is not present. There is no short in the 3.3v rail but I measure 1 ohm resistance from coil to ground. I remove the soldered joint that connect the 3.3v rail to the 3.3v coil to isolate the 3.3v supply to the circuit. The 3.3v power supply is rated at about 10 to 30A , I think the problem is in the 3.3v supply. Removed the shorted mosfet PQ8703 and replaced it with new again.. power it up.. then the mosfet PQ8702 shorts but not he PQ8703.. Investigating if this...

PWM CONTROLLER RT8249CGQW PU8701 is not turning on because of a shorted mosfet PQ8703. The problem is when I replaced it, the new mosfet shorts again.. what seems to be the problem with that. checking the coil connected to the mosfet doesn't have any short to ground..any Idea guys.

measure all the coils in reference to ground. 1 prod connected to ground and 1 prod connected to measure coil. all coils must be have a resistance not less than 1ohm. coil connected to processor is low 1ohm but not shorted....Last edited by Duranitron; 11-27-2024, 08:25 PM.

Start a new tread in Schematic only request to request for an schematic or board view of Asus x512dK
and I will give you the board view of X512DK 60NB0LZ0-MB1610 Rev 2.1. if this is your model.
Board view is much better than SchematicsLast edited by Duranitron; 11-27-2024, 06:54 AM.

Please check if you have any issue in the device manager particular to display . A blank screen happens when the external monitor is not capable of a higher resolution. Check the highest resolution your external monitor can safely handle. Try to reduce the screen resolution of your internal lcd display specially when you are in duplicate mode. Hope this helps....

I found the culprit resistor PR8825 is not present connecting PS_ON and PS_ON_R installing a 10K resistor creates the VSUS_PWRGD signal that enables all the Power IC,
including the 1.8v (PU8401) and 0.9 volts (PU8301). Only the PU8701 is not enable though VSUS_PWRGD is present. Gonna check tomorrow if both enable signal pin 6 and 20 are present.?...Last edited by Duranitron; 11-27-2024, 06:12 AM.
