follow up on my repair, the APW8861 in my opinion is not compatible with G5388K11U, bought 2 original APW8861 and place it in the board, no nothing no CPU fan spin, no output voltage, 19volts rail is present. I thought the IC is defective so I placed the other IC with same results, so I search the net, though its really difficult to find the IC, I was fortunate to locate an original IC G5388K11U from Indonesia., the moment I place it and turn on the laptop, CPU fan spins, all voltage are present including 1.2v output of this IC to power the DDR4 memory module, the laptop works fine. there is no datasheet for G5388K11U but I found a direct replacement APW8861, APW8861QBI, APW8861QBI-TRG datasheet is available...

try also to take photos of the motherboard and place the measured voltages of the coils, also the 19v rails. maybe you are missing a 19volts rails. do a resistance check from ground to any coil that you can access make sure there is no short circuit I mean is dead short. sometimes 1 ohm or 5 ohms is ok it depends on the board design.Last edited by Duranitron; 04-30-2025, 12:45 AM.Leave a comment:

Hello, when it starts does it continues to run? or it hangs or turn off? try to run the unit with adapter inserted and with battery only, try to use known good adapter. If you can access the motherboard try to measure the always on voltage usually its a 5v or 3.3volts that is always on. it waits for the turn on button to be press to wake the unit. any beep code or cpu fan spin? try also to swap good ddr memory or clean the pins, try to measure the voltage on all coils that you can find in the board and post it here, do this at your own risk....Leave a comment:

Specs: Intel i7 processor, 8Gb ddr4 memory module, 250Gb SSD,
date stamp is 2016
Motherboard model: ADZAM-6050A2761701-MB-A01
Symptoms: Sometimes the unit will turn on made it to the windows login screen then turns off, most of the time the Unit can be turn on but only the power on is lit and will eventually turn of in less than 30 seconds, CPU fan spins, no beep code and no display.🤕🤕🤕
Basics: replaced known good 19v adapter, replaced known good ddr4 memory module, test the always on voltage 5v, 3.3v all... -

So Bios is ok. 5v and 3.3v rail ok..and you can turn on and off the laptop with all the main voltage present. the processor warm up when on. The only problem is the display is blank, no video on external monitor. visual inspection first top and botton of the mobo and then try to run the system with bare minimum. try to power the motherboard only and place an external monitor to isolate it from the rest. try to boot it. make sure to place the heatsink and fan as AMD is known to heat up fast. Maybe an attachment is malfunctioning.. the LVDS cable is shorting or maybe the battery or wifi card. a...Leave a comment:

I recently got hold of this laptop Fujitsu Lifebook E558.
Symptoms: Sometimes its ok, Sometime it hangs the system, sudden bump can cause the hang specially if you are using the HDMI as monitor, I am puzzled about the problem of this Laptop. erratic behavior of the usb, audio jack, lan port and HDMI port. and came across your thread maybe it my lucky day..😀😁😁😁

Many Moderators here can determine either your bios is at fault. Just post the bios here to make sure that the bios is not faulty. all your voltage rail is normal.
