Philips 23PFL5522D/05, black screen red power flashes

Hello, have already had a suggestion of the control circuit board, after reading about the power problems on a monitor, like to check in case anyone has different know-how pls

The picture went slightly garbled and flakey, sound was fine, displayed this "stable" for 5 minutes. the next day, was good again The day after, went black

connecting to power after 10 mins disconnection, the red power flashes about 6 times, then does about 4 flash-flashes, then the speaker starts blipping, and the red flashes fast constantly, with the speaker blipping every few seconds

ther's no obvious component failures or burn out, altho a couple of the caps on the power have very slight bloating

    there is a fizz/quiet/fizz/quiet

    many thx

Photos of both boards and swollen caps please.

Part number of power board? Do not keep the unit plugged in. The fizz-quiet routine can be a mains cap gone bad. If it fails -badly- while plugged in or trying to turn on, a $10 repair could be $100.

I can't locate a service manual, but PlainBill may have a source once he wanders through here.

stock photos attached, but circled the caps which have slight bloat (very, very slight, just to the touch)

but have no other visible faults on either of them, or signs of burnout, or any smells

      power: DAC-12M058
ctrl board: 3139 123 62613 WK713.5 (this replacement is what ive been advised, at about £40)

i believe there is another board hidden under some metalwork on the left.

i think i attached inline wrongly

If your caps are the same as the -bloated- ones in the pic , then a complete recap is called for of the power board -first-. If your mains cap is also Rubycon, then that can be left alone.

The fizzing is the power supply trying to start and failing because of the bad caps.

        Again, picture attachment is good!

By the pic, it seems you have 13-15 caps to replace.

Google cache shows something from ebay.co.uk for the power board ~£50 incl. shipping. Nothing presently though. If you were to buy the board, you'd most likely be back in the same boat in a short while.

If the Power board is bad, there is no way to conclude the Logic board is a problem, unless you can swap it to another set.

thanks when you say bloated, there's the 3 caps which have a slight bulge to them, does even the slight bulge indicate the insides are bad, do 3 caps like that recommend replacing the whole set (all the rest are flat - not a problem if it is, just to check)

A slight bulge is like being a little pregnant.

The rest need replacement or you'll be chasing problems for a long time.

No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.
                  Please help. Thanks in advance!

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                  by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
                  by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.

                  Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

                  Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
                  by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...
