yes but on the PSu socket also there are pins T-CON12V-ON... when he connect it to STB he got low V round 2.6 here where i am talking

@diah I did the test, added ground pin to tcon for safety and screen goes white green blue red. Panel is okay. BL come on all is well. So tcon and panel are good, LED driver good.

Leaves psu and main.

Clearly PSU won't supply 12v to tcon and that's an issue. Gonna reread everything first and look at this fresh tomorrow.

@lotas, I thought the same thing with main board. But tcon 12v throwing me off. PSU seems to supple tcon 12v and I cannot force 12v on it so I'm interested in why. But I also thought main was cause also. We will see soon.

At least panel and tcon are good! Yay!

Also to add to first post, it appears the .178 is not being supplied to tcon from main board but is the voltage from PSU to tcon. Whatever voltage coming from PSU to tcon is the voltage the tcon gets at the fuse

Edit: not sure if measuring with ground to chassis means anything but one side octocoupler reads 10.37other 9.33. just throwing that data here.

I also tried freezing it as the video I saw showed and no change, same voltages.

Your T-con 12 volts comes from the REG12V and is switched by U6? (can't make out the number) mosfet on the power supply to provide the TCON_12V, are you getting the TCON_ON voltage (CN6401, Pin 26) from the main board?

good news, but now you need to take out the PSU amd leave it always standalone on the table with primary jumper connect BTW STB-PW-On & STB -T-CON12ON

upload high resolution Photo of the TOP & down side to help us read the diagram of the T-COn 12 circuit.. its easy task now

i wrote to take it out... in-order don't plug the MB to it.... we don't want any damage could happen to MB if there short at the circuit on PSU

+1000 Agree, this new setup sucks balls, had to add a picture, just to see which posts were mine, wish there was a choice between this and the old/better one.

Well this was main board issue. TCON on through power board alone will not turn on 12v for this model alone without MB I guess. Fixed!

Yes, which was what I originally thought as well, but more of just a guess. Why the PSU won't turn on Tcon12v like other psus from Sony beats me.

But apart from these 12 volts, there was no indication, no backlight, no sound, although the power supply supplied 12 V to the motherboard.
