    55r6095g5 Hisense question for all

I got this 55r6095g5 picked it up free. Considering changing the backlights but these things don't have a bezel that holds the screen on. It's just like double sided foam tape holding it on and nothing else.

How does one replace this? Inevitably when I use something to cut the screen out it's going to leave crap on both sides, and do you scrape it with a razor blade or something?

How does one do this? Picture shows it

Yes I didn't know if there was a better way. Seems ghetto but alright. I've done this once already but maybe there was another way

Pulling it off is no problem, but what's the method of putting it back on.

You need some black double sided tape. Don't use clear ... I did on my first fix on one of these and the light comes through around the edges of the screen. Use black only.
Here's a link on Aliexpress.com ... Amazon probly has it to but more expensive.
            https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002050734745.html

I used 5mm but is very hard to work with ... so thin. the 10mm would be better to work with.

            Heres a youtube video tooo .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PN3vp1RtiL0

              Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Reattaching new edge to edge LCD panel to tv frame - Hisense 55a6g and others
              by mecha1166
Some new tvs have an LCD screen attached to the outside of the frame with foam tape. These are "edge to edge" as they are called. I am trying to figure out how to reattach an LCD panel back up to the frame. The manufacturer used 3/16 inch foam tape along the top and rh/lh edges. I used a razor blade to separate the panel from the metal frame. The metal frame that the panel is taped to is 1/4 inch wide along the 2 sides and top. I completely removed the residue from the metal frame. There is some residue on the panel itself along the 3 edges, I removed almost all of it using alcohol and...

Can I Swap Screens Between Two Hisense 75” QLED TVs?
              by ShahZaib Ghumman
              Hey folks,

I'm not a professional, but I do have a decent amount of knowledge when it comes to electronic repairs.

A friend of mine recently bought a brand new Hisense 75” 4K QLED Smart TV (75E7NQTUK) but unfortunately, he cracked the screen just a few days later. Luckily, he had insurance and got a replacement right away but weirdly enough, the insurance company never asked for the broken unit back.

So, I took it off his hands and figured I'd try to repair it myself rather than see it go to waste. I've been searching for a replacement screen but can't...
