Philips 58PUS7505/12 Backlight OK / no picture.. Help

overnight my philips is 2 years old but unfortunately it is no longer under warranty.. started joking..
the picture became black.. but the next day when I turned it on, I still saw a little something... But now it's just black..
the backlight works normally.. the sound too.. the motherboard also shows that it is ok..
I suspect a T-Con panel. Do you think the panel is shorted?
below I am sending you a video about my TV and how it behaves.
I also tried disconnecting the ribbon cables. first the left one, then the right one.. but I can't find out if the panel has burned out or if only the Tcon is in some kind of contact...
i measured the VCOM point on the T-Com card.. the voltage could be 8v. but it shows 23V to me. which I think is too much.. 23 V is for VGH...
when I disconnect the left or right ribbon cable, then I have the correct measurement at the VCOM Point and it is 8V or 7.23V.

    watch the video.
    thank you

Looks like you have picture.. but you have lines. Could be tcon, but could be panel. Someone more technical will chime in I'm sure.

A faulty panel, masking off some data lines probably helps. Start with the rightmost 3 lines of the right FCC cable. If that does not work try some more lines.

        William:
i tried covered lines.. exactly as you wrote. first 3 lines.. it was not ok..
tried covering only 1 line on the far right on the right flat cable. blo is better, but still annoying. the upper part of the screen still has lines.
is there anything else to do??

Try up to 12 lines at once. Always try more lines, and once you get it, try less lines. I had a screen with this exact problem, was a JVC though. I wanted to try a tcon replacement, could not find a match so never fixed it but using tape never actually solved the lines for me either. I never found a replacement. I'm curious to see what fixes here

Had the same set about 3 weeks ago. The set was just above 2 years, same as yours.

Intermittent picture, sometimes it was ok, sometimes no vgl no vgh. Wrote it off as no fix, panel problem. There should be a manufacturing fault by the panel maker. Also seeing lots of 58 vestels with screen problems. I think it's the same manufacturer but can't recall correctly.

UN65TU700DF picture and sound but no backlight. BL tests ok but repl. PSU didnt fix!
                by triplefour
this tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even...

                Hi,
I'm having trouble with above mentioned TV. Bought it defect.
Picture was heavily compressed around the horizontal axis. Fiddeled and tried different things (mask clock lines, swap T-Con). But no difference.
Then I identified a heating capacitor on the left hand Signal-PCB (?) below the display. Replaced it by hand soldering. Checked for shorts afterwards. But now the screen stays black.

I can see backlight, but screen stays black.
                What I've tried:
                - Disconnect right side cable from T-Con -> same (backlight but no pic)
                - Disconnect left side...

Missing LCD Panel Voltages VGH, VGL, VCOM (TCL 55P6US Sound & Backlight but NO Picture)
                by maneatingmonkey
I have a TCL 55P6US with sound and backlight but no picture. This model does not have a T-CON board, and the right (rear perspective) panel board is fed from the left panel board. I have not been able to induce any change by disconnecting the secondary panel board or the tape cut-off method on the primary board.

There are a bunch of voltages missing on the panel boards. I can't find any shorted caps of the panel boards, and all of the missing voltage rails read in the kiloohms, which leads me to suspect the issue may lie on the circuit board, rather than a short in the panel.

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                by TR103
                Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                - sound and backlight, but no picture
                - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                - it keeps rebooting
                - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and
