Re: Jvc hr-d470eg
Yes, because I saw the detector has 3 leads, I thought it could work.
I´ll wait from donberg answer and if they don´t send me I´ll buy this and try to replace the detector...
Best regards,

Re: Jvc hr-d470eg
Hi nomoresonys.
It´s been a while that I don´t post any update on this topic, but it was because I screw the FFC cables wich connect the display board to the chassis, and luckely found ones that were the same pitch and pins on aliexpress, so now I can say that I have my VCR all 100% fixed.
I bought the sensor on serigo store, but they never shipped or even sent me instructions how to pay for it, they say in the site, that after the buy they mail us the payment instructions, but never received any mail from them, even after contacted them through mail, still no answer...
I replaced all the micro switches from the display board too, because pressing play, sometimes it started rewinding, after replacement, hell yeah!!
I have in my home another recover project, was my first one, a JVC HR-D530E, a difficult one, it´s a spagetti inside!! But the reel sensor is identic, so I replaced it from the D530E, and after that, started to work like a swiss clock!!
The image is great, but the sound!! After replacing all caps!! Wow!!
I want to thank you all that helped me, sincerelly! It´s good to have comunities like this!!
I´m going to post pics from the finished project!!Comment

Glad to hear its fixed.I have not dealt with serigo, from seeing your problem with them, they don't quite seem legitimate.

Re: Jvc hr-d470eg
Now I have another project lol!!
I bought an Thomson SV1300N S-VHS recorder wich is a rebrand of a JVC HR-S4700.
It didn´t worked at all, I managed to get the service manual, I disassembled it, all boards, took note on all capacitor values, from PSU through backup capacitor, and replaced all of the electrolytic too like the past project, I don´t know if someone knows it in here I doubt, because it was a problem on some JVC models, the vertical board on the sound pcb has 4 smd capacitors that leak, I replaced them too.
After all the desolder and solder, the VCR came to life again, The sound again is amazing, through "simulate" or Front AV, even from tuner after tuning channels from my cable provider...
The problem is the VCR mechanism... It´s timed, I saw tutorials, I have the hole marks all lined up, even ordered a plate assy PQ44581B because some tooth were a bit worned, but the symptoms remains.
It loads the tape, start to pull the tape to the drum, the drum spins and then stops, the reels hickups and stops, the tape then looses, and It struglles to eject, everytime I press eject button, tries to load the tape, again and again, the only way to eject is to power off, and then press the eject button, it ejects, but the tape gets tangled inside...
I´ll post a video of what I´m saying...
I think that the capstan is good because when I touch some pins in the mechanis board with my fingers it spins, but uncontroll...
I´ll post video too...
Maybe someone had this problem before with a similar model...

Re: Jvc hr-d470eg
Could be idler mechanism, maybe pinch roller, is capstan turning freely? a bad belt could do it too if equipped. I just had a similar problem on an old ge, it would not load fully or bring the tape back to the cassette so when ejected tape was outside of cassette, I think they sit not played for extended periods of time and get sluggish and stuck, I cleaned the heads and the usual things there, re-greased the arm tracks, made sure the idler was not stuck, made sure the capstan moved freely. I put a tape in and it was indeed sluggish at first, then the more I hit play, rewind, ff, pause etc. the better it acted, now it's fine. I think just letting them sit without them ever playing is one of the worse things for them.Comment

You´re right nomoresonys!

Re: Jvc hr-d470eg
It's a head scratcher, lots of times it's this but you probably already went thru it, guess it could be a weak capstan motor?:
The most common cause of a VCR eating tapes is a dirty/worn idler tire
preventing the takeup reel from turning. The idler tire transfers motor
power to the appropriate reel hub. If dirty, worn, dried out, glazed, cracked,
or otherwise deteriorated, it will slip and cause the takeup reel (in
play mode) to stop turning at some point. Hopefully, the microcomputer
senses this and tries to wind the tape back into the cassette. But,
you guessed it, this requires the idler tire so you end up with a mess
of tape inside the machine. When you go to eject, you may get the cassette
with a tape loop hanging out.Comment

by LorettoHi all,
this unit comes from a samsumg LCD TV LE32C530F1W which stopped working after making a strong noise like something was exploded inside of it.
I opened it and found that fuse FP801S was blown, capacitor CP814 was completely disintegrated and MOSFET QP801S was shorted.
I replaced all of them and instead of the fuse I connected a 100 Watt bulb. Then, without connecting it to other TV boards, I switched it on, but the bulb begun to blink.
I thought that maybe the bulb was somehow interfering with the normal operation of the power supply, so I replaced it with a fuse,... -

by DannyxGood day folks. A pretty simple job turned into a great confusion today. My boss sent me over to a friend of his to have a look at his washing machine which stopped working entirely. He opened it up himself and presented me with this lovely board before I got there. I took it back to the shop and instead of immediately hopping online and trying to find info on this board, I opted for a more hands-on approach and troubleshooted on my own.
The layout seemed pretty simple overall and it wasn't hard for me to spot the issue: the power supply in the lower-right corner had popped. I noticed... -
by GrouickmanHi there,
First, I'm not sure it's the right section to post for this type of device, but could not think of something better.
Ok, so my son (a mechanic) bought a faulty Hofmann Geodyna 6300 wheel balancer (which appears to be mostly a re-branded Snap-on wheel balancer).
I'm looking for any resources (doc, manuals, schematics) that would be available for this device or anyone that would have any knowledge on this particular device (or its Snap-On equivalent).
I'm trying to diagnose the fault(s ?), but I can't find any schematic (appart from the... -
by Goldwing1973I'm rather new to repairing electronics, i do know the basics of most components but never actually repaired a PCB, but i want to change that.
So, i bought a faulty Sonos Play 1 speaker with the intention of finding the fault, and replace the damaged part.
Well, i did find the fault, i replaced parts that i thought caused the problem, but no-go.
The problem is a pulsing power supply, when i connect the mains to the board and hook up my thermal cam i see R306,307 and 308 getting warm, but i assume that's normal.
But, whats is not normal is the pulsing of resistor...-
