I have 2 of these MU models and your placements worked for me. Definitefly bad screens. Was hoping to light it up and verify the main boards still worked. Cudos to you

Re: Samsung UE55MU6120K Boot loop with backlight no video
check diodes on the panel small boards, maybe try shorting clk lines to gnd one by one, if a new set of black lines appears step to the other clock, until no new lines appears, that clock line is probably connected to a bad diode to be removed.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55MU6120K Boot loop with backlight no video
I just went on try and error, uncover some lines on the flex.
from 12-20 went down to 16-20 if I left any of these lines free the TV goes on reboot frenzy.
but the best I got the TV is this.
Is this the best? Can I do something to get a better picture?

Re: Samsung UE55MU6120K Boot loop with backlight no video
I think no, the thin circuits within the glass some times belongs to a sufficient overload and so the tcon protection, sometimes the short belongs to an intermittent faulty line.. depends which mosfet in which circuit position is been hit by the spike..maybe the faulty line is due to an half broken fet connection and not a short..
last but not least, i have a dvbt2 Panasonic with lines starting from both sides.. sometimes the image works with few lines, sometimes it starts scrambling lines in big part of screen.. depends on thermal state..
if someone don't wants to drive crazy, it's sad but these screens must be disposed of..Last edited by Davi.p; 03-13-2023, 03:17 PM.Leave a comment:

hugmax this is probably due to the fact that both the sides are broken..Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55MU6120K Boot loop with backlight no video
My update for my TV: I did the jumper T-RDY1 and T-RDY3 in #36 and I found that the short was on the left and I isolated the ckv (12-20).
but I got some lines on the screen, how many lines should I uncover?
I cut the jumper after I got image on the TV

Re: Samsung UE55MU6120K Boot loop with backlight no video
Hi Fanatic, as per Lotas post #113, try connect the screen, don't forget there is a serial connection between mb and screen due to the spi flash on it, so it's normal maybe a reboot, another test that can be made is try booting the tv, if it reboots many times freezing the spi flash, if tv works ok desoldering the spi, freezing it 5sec before reading it with programmer then let it come to ambient temp then rewrite it, solder back then try..Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55MU6120K Boot loop with backlight no video
After reading the whole 7 page of the post, because I have the EXACT same problem, I did the masking and all and I haven't fixed yet.
BUT I did buy a motherboard from Ebay. And had the same reboot loop when both flex where in.
It seems that I have some testing to do on Monday when I get to my shop.Leave a comment:

Re: Samsung UE55MU6120K Boot loop with backlight no video
After post #5 even I thought it might be the panel because thats a classic symptom of a panel issue, just goes to show, always keep an open mind when troubleshooting and be careful not to jump to conclusions, which we all do sometimes.Leave a comment:

I'm just now realizing that a stupid little solder crack is probably the same problem I had with a sony a while back.Leave a comment:

Post #98 and #102 was close, I bet when you had it going for 30 hours it wasn't exactly straight like when its on the wall, like just leaning on a bit of an angle and making that joint work.Leave a comment:

by TakeatrySamsung QLED QN50Q — purchased 2022 started experiencing a delay in the picture coming on in the morning less than 2 years later. Did not know the term boot loop at that time. As the loop delay ran into a few minutes did all the recommended troubleshooting, soft and hard reset, changing cables and outlet locations, no help. As the delay increased contacted Samsung tech group and allow them remote access the tv. Tech was moving too fast to see exactly what he was doing but this ultimately it was also no help. Lived with the delay until it stretched out over 6 hours. Pulled of off the back cover...2 Photos

by torchzackHi Team - just joined to see if anyone can offer some expertise in diagnosing an issue with a TV.
I've done a few hours googling and youtubing but just seeing if anyone has any insight here. I got a 55" Samsung UE55MU6470U which seems to boot loop and then after 10 mins will boot, work for a few minutes, then turn off and repeat.
Whilst it's on into the normal Samsung menu/boot screen it looks perfect - so I can't see there being any screen issues. I've seen lots of videos with taping across clock lines to diagnose which particular one may be an issue but i don't... -
by NolesFanHello all... TV started boot looping. Opened the back panel and tried to isolate the problem. Just PSB no boot loop. PSB and MB no boot loop. Plug in the LVDS from panel to MB and boot looping starts up. It doesnt matter of order that I plug the LVDS ribbons back in, only 1 and no boot loop but as soon as 2nd one plugs in boot looping. I then noticed a flicker on the screen when I was closing the clip on the harness to the LVDS. Shut the lights off so I can see better, and I noticed as i slowly close it, I will get a picture, but as soon as it clips in, I lose picture and booting happens. So I...2 Photos

by eigmaHi, I rescued a Samsung UN40H5003AF (H = 2014 FHD) from the curb. Symptoms are: standby (red) light comes on, stays on for 8 seconds, flickers off, then comes back on, and the cycle continues.
Service manual: https://www.electronica-pt.com/esque...is-u8la-71272/
SMPS board: checked voltages, all seem normal (A13V = 12.8V, UD = 3.3V, PWM_BLU = 0.77V, PS_OnOff = 5.5V). Remove 10p cable to main board -> backlight comes on. I think this means SMPS board and backlight are good.
Main board: BN94-07592P / BN97-08922R...1 Photo -
Hello,
My Samsung TV had a black patch on the left side of the screen for a while. One night it shut off and then became stuck in a boot loop. I initially believed the back-light was the issue and replaced the LEDs but it still boot loops. I've since replaced the main board and the issue persists.
With the main board unplugged, it powers on and the back-light comes on. I've tried the tape method but I gave up as I don't know what pins I need to cover.
I suspect the panel itself it broken but have no multi-meter to test. Is it worth investing in one to test?... - Loading...
