    MB issue
take it out from tv... and measure at the socket resistances value reference to boards chassis point... or replace it... to me it sound BGA issue...

So you are confident panel, BL, TCON and PSU are all good yes?

Other board I actually tried to heatgun the BGA but made the problem worse.

So sorry but which socket pins to measure resistance? All 28 of them? Look for short right?

Yes, the main board is bad. I mentioned this in post #6.
I had this exact same tv and fixed with new mainboard

Yes this was the consensus but after replacing twice with E-pray boards and having the same problem I wanted to be sure.

            PN: EBT64174323 is for UB.AUSMLJ
            PN: EBT64174324 is for UB.BUSMLJ

Would you guys trust the following which suggests that they are interchangeable?

i am not master..... all users are Master include whom didn't joined your threat,,, as it refund agreement for yours MB you have, i would go with any TV size from 6350 series . other things if it run and you have display screen at any matter or issue.. it can be adjusted with e-z adj menu.

by the way did yours tv worth such huge investment ..? or u plan to sell it later

if i am in yours place will repair the MB .. repairing MB never being difficult if you do know how to read value and using DMM

so if you are ready to repair the MB.. start with high resolution photos from top and down side after removing the metal heat sink

Yes, that board will work. But that price is steep.

Actually I have a board EBT64174323 on the way that cost 140 $USD shipped so not bad (but shipping $$.) It should arrive this week.

As far as investment it is mostly stubbornness. It really bothers me that a TV only lasted 3years and with almost no parts available and would go in garbage. So with you guys helping me I will be most happy to get it back on the wall. I will have 2 X bad main boards leftover; I would like to troubleshoot them as a project if possible but I think BGA's are toast.

could troubleshoot the fridge right here, but theres a member whos little mind gets confused and starts complaining, maybe open it in the appliance section.

lol thanks! Yeah I'll spin up another thread. Every 5 years or so the water line coupler fails it seems (pretty high pressure in this building.) So woke up to a lot of water on the floor. My guess is it found it's way through the back cover and into electronics. I have no light/no sign of life. Will check the power boards fuse I guess

That is funny so like you were saying... there is a sealed hatch at the back for the PSU but open it up and out pours water lol. So it sealed the water inside. Fuse is good though so will blast with alcohol then have to test components I guess.

The IC1604 is a surface mounted device (SMD) EEPROM, Winbond Model 25Q40CLSIP. A read on this EEPROM came back with all FF FF FF FF FF in all registers blank and empty of data. I had a spare mainboard with intact IC1604 and utilized...

                                            No standby red light, nothing
This Sony has a separate AC->DC power adapter supplying 19.5V to the TV power board (JK3)

Disconnected JK3 power board from main board, checked voltages on all the pin outs

At a few pins I can see the power supply providing 19.5V to the main board

Based on the service manual triage.. it seems to be pointing towards the power board (JK3) being the most possible culprit

LED light turns on when I disconnect LED driver board ribbon from mainboard (so i thought it is the mainboard,...

                                            Hi All,

                                            Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Dell Latitude 7420 - Touchscreen not working since Mainboard replacement
                                            by Mirenia
                                            Hi everyone,

I've got a little "problem child": my Dell Latitude 7420 2-in-1, which had a faulty mainboard.
I replaced it, but ever since, the touchscreen no longer works — and honestly, I’m running out of ideas…

In Windows Device Manager, I just see an I2C HID Device with error code 10. Sporadically, the touchscreen is recognized correctly for just a few seconds, but I haven’t been able to determine under which circumstances this happens.

The touchscreen also doesn’t work in UEFI/BIOS, although it’s enabled...
