Viewsonic n2752w Red Power light Blinks

Hi, new to the forum here.. you guys seem extremely knowledgeable..

I have a Viewsonic n2752w 27" LCD tv that was made in 2007.. It worked great until last week friday it turned off by itself and wouldn't turn back on. Now the red power led light just flashes red over and over... I did a lot of research and heard about the bad caps... So I open it up and sure enough there are 5 caps that where bulged and a couple of them even had some leakage.. I Went ahead and made a cap repair kit from lcdalternatives.com and had them sent to me.. I had no electronic or soldering know how but I went ahead and practiced removing some caps from a old broken ps2 so I could get some experience before the tv repair..So I was ready to operate and I replaced the 5 bad caps and then tested it and no luck tv still wont turn on and the red light still just flashes... So I go ahead and replace all 14 caps on the power supply board and still, the red light flashes...

Does anyone know where I should trouble shoot next? What to look at, possible other causes for the red flashing power light? Any help will be greatly appreciated...

The first pic is a pic of the power board and mother board.. Second pic is of the bad caps.. third pic is of the replacement caps.. pics 4 through 8 are just clusters of things on the back of the power board.. pic 7 I circled something that looked darker than the others, could this be bad?
and pic 8 is the diagram I made..

I would search for the service manual for the unit. Some sets flash the led in a special sequence and actually tell what is wrong. You could also verify that the output voltages from the powersupply seems ok, but of course this might require the manual aswell.

It sounds like you are on the right track with what you have done so far. If you want to spend money though, I'd take it to the repair guy who is just gonna go onto badcaps.net and try to find a fix just as you are doing.

A couple of things are in your favor right now:
            1. You have had visually bad components that were easy to correct.
            2. You have located a service manual for this unit.

Odds are you're one step away from having a working set.

What are the output voltages from the connectors on the top and left hand side of the board (picture 9)? Which one goes to the processor board?

Could you post a close up picture of the processor board also?

              Nice.

I had one of these on my bench a while ago.
All voltages were fine, power supply was good, just wouldn't power on.

After much spinning of wheels I dertermined that the microcontroller was bad, and scrapped it. I should have kept the PS and Inverter boards, but didn't bother.

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
                  by PantherDave
                  Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
                  by Alicat
                  Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                  Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

troubleshooting microsoft surface pro 4 no power no led charge light
                  by ipatch
hello, i have been sitting on some microsoft surface pro 4 tablets for a while now. i was originally tasked with replacing the battery in one of the tablets, and ended breaking the screen and logic board in the process. decided to buy another tablet with the same specs. got that screen off successfully of the second tablet. the logic board appeared good, but i guess i shorted something out in the installation process of the logic which i've read is a common issue if there is no barrier between the logic board and battery pins. all that said, i ate costs of the repair and have...

LG 39ln540v - red light flashes twice, no power to LED driver?
                  by russpall
                  Hi there,

I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.

The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:
                  ...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                  by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
