    Aerocool cylon 700watt Atx psu

    Hi
    Trying to find a schematic or info on a 7 pin dip ic that has exploded in my psu.
    One of the fets has also had blown.
    The top of the 7 pin ic has blown off into lower earth orbit so I'm a bit stuck.
    The ic is on the high voltage side of board.

      Pin 4 is not connected and pin 7 is missing as far as I can tell.

          I think it's a Tiny Switch type all-in-on regulator. The "missing" pin 7 is probably the spacing between pin 8, the output MOSFET Drain, and pin 6, the Source. Whether it's literally is a Tiny Switch or a similar product, I don't know.

                      The first photo shows that they replaced the wrong PWM, it looks like TNY27xPN and turned it over.

                          Your right I guessed and I was wrong.
                          I can't seem to find the part you posted picture of to buy anywhere?

                                      Before installing a new PWM, you need to check the entire wiring of this PWM - resistors, diodes, an optocoupler that is connected to it, if some component is not corrected, the power supply will not start or the PWM will explode again. The main thing is that the standby transformer would not suffer (interturn short circuit of the primary winding).

                                          I've taken the exploded pmw driver back off board and the resistor which is open circuit I'll desolder diodes and check them next. how can I test optocoupler operation?

                                              hi i have a zener zener marked c24 also t5 any one any idea of its value as its blown open circuit?
                                              I have removed it from board to test.
                                              It's out of a aerocool cylon 700w power supply I think it to do with a ic that exploded I belive for 5vsb.

                                                              I'm new to this forum. So my trusty 17-year-old LG 47" LCD recently died. As I was booting it up, I heard a hum followed by a loud bang, sounds of pieces flying around, and loss of power to the unit. Inspecting the PSU, I saw two obvious problems: a blown thermistor (bang + flung pieces) and a visibly bulging main cap. Inspecting as many components as I could with my Fluke MM, I diagnosed that the following components on the "hot side" of the board were also bad: one of the 2 main MOSFETs, main 8A fuse, small cap (25V 47uF) connected to main caps, and a blown...

                                                              This laptop had a shorted cap on a Vcore section. After replacement is works again. But there is still a battery issue.
                                                              The battery is HT03XL and with the built-in component test from HP, in the Power section, I get an error: Logic State: Calibration required (20), Charge state: Blown Fuse (42)
                                                              I have another same battery, also with error: Logic State: Very Weak (70), Charge state: Blown Fuse (42)
                                                              And a third battery TF03XL (looks identical) with error: Logic State: OK (0), Charge state: Blown Fuse (42)
                                                              All these 3 batteries are charging...

                                                              I have blown a component on HP Envy x360 with motherboard G1 13 AMD X360 18740-1 448.0GA03.0011.
                                                              Unfortunately there are no schematics available and the component was so blown the marking weren't readable.

                                                              I have marked it with a red circle in the attached photos - sorry for the mediocre quality I was too much in a rush.
                                                              Hope someone will be able to identify the component.

                                                              Hey everyone,

                                                              I'm a novice trying to repair my laptop. The LCD screen has an image, but no LED backlight for the image. It also produces an image when connected to an external monitor.
                                                              I have found what I believe to be a blown inductor labeled "L4502" and "120 Ohm" in the schematics (zoomed in image, blue arrow to blown component). I have included an image of the general area of the mobo and an excerpt from the schematics as well.
                                                              I am having trouble selecting a replacement component, which I believe to be a 120 Ohm ferrite bead, from the components...

                                                              I'm looking at a vented C513 in a Marantz SR5400 (photo included), in the FR section on page 24 in the service manual (https://audiocircuit.dk/downloads/ma...400-avr-sm.pdf).

                                                              R533 right below it in the photo is charred, but measures the correct value.

                                                              1. I'm not familiar with amplifier circuits (at all — don't know the difference between classes, etc.) so I was wondering what problems would manifest from a supposedly non-operational C513? I didn't hear anything odd when testing the output channel with a speaker. Is there a simple test that can be done...
