Help needed identify Diode - PSU FSP Hexa 500W

    Hi All

Need help to identify a shorted diode on PSU Hexa 500W.
Don't know what rating to replace with.

    Shorted diode is D24.
D24 is located just under the long heat sink (indicated by arrow).
there is a familiar looking diode at D25
    Main Fuse is also blown.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Did you remove it and test it off the board? It is connected in parallel with the resistor R84 (I cannot cleary see the print on the body, but more likely to be a 10 Ohms resistor).
BTW, that diode/resistor network is for Gate discharge which is connected to Gate of the MOSFET, you should check and see if the MOSFET is OK or not.
Since the main fuse is blown, you need to check all the power semiconductor devices for shorts.

Hi, can you take a picture R26, my ATX is broken IC TNY 277PN, and R26, but i don't know what is R26. Thanks

I don't have this exact PSU, but I have an FSP500-60APN, which appears to have the same 2315(2) PCB and layout.
On mine, R26 = 2R00... i.e. 2 Ohm resistor. Not sure of the power rating, but I would suggest you use at least 1/2 Watt -rated resistor, and it should be metal-oxide FUSIBLE type.
Since your TNY277 IC is dead, also check the state of electrolytic capacitor C47 (100 uF 35V, I think?) before powering up the circuit with a new TNY IC.

I agree with momaka. Whatever that resistor is, must be something like a very low ohms reading resistor

            Yes, that's right 2R00.
