The fried component in the picture is a common mode choke for EMI filtering - they should not be all that hard to get in the right size, but current capacity needs to be considered.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.
thats not the only thing fried! when that goes, something is very wrong!
Didn't mention it was plugged in when I tested and it shifted and 110 touched it. The value and a suitable replacement is what I'm having a hard time with.
