    Apple TDK PSU

I accidentally fried the inductor on an Apple LC PSU. Can anyone help me locate a replacement? The only part number visible to me is 290A P15.

    Thanks!

The fried component in the picture is a common mode choke for EMI filtering - they should not be all that hard to get in the right size, but current capacity needs to be considered.

Didn't mention it was plugged in when I tested and it shifted and 110 touched it. The value and a suitable replacement is what I'm having a hard time with.

ok, what are the dimensions of the choke? and lead spacing? also, what's the incoming line amps (or watts?) written on the PSU?

you could pretend it's a no-name pc supply and replace it with a pair of jump-wires.

The lead spacing is Half inch by 7/16, with the choke not much larger. I've attached a picture of the outside label.

Looking at the picture, there is also a component that might be a varistor, wich is split in half (or so it looks).
In a transistor circuit protected by a fuse, the transistor will always blow to protect the fuse.

It looks exactly like it, but how do I know which mH and amperage to get?
                      Its approx. 20mm long x 21mm height x 16mm width
                      Lead spacing is 13mm x 10mm

I think it was just a molding line. I looked again and it looks ok. Any guess on at the mH that I should replace this with?

I'm looking for anyone who might have information on Apple's embedded Apple Watch charging daughterboard, ID 820-02601. This is currently used by Anker in their Apple Watch charging products, but likely by other Apple partner brands as well.

You can see the board referenced in ChargerLab's teardown of the Anker Y1811 3-in-1 MagSafe cube - they discuss the "Apple Watch wireless charging circuit" about 2/3rds down the page. It's not pictured, but the board ID reads 820-02601-A, which sure sounds like Apple.

So here’s what’s strange about this one: it appears to work normally (normal output voltages) and any PC is stable with it. However, after a while (typically 10-20 minutes, but time can vary depending on the load), there is a sweetish smell of burned magnet wire insulation emanating from the PSU. Upon opening the PSU after this happened (many times), I was able to confirm...
