Apple Watch Charging Controller Schematics / Boardview - 820-02601

    Hi there,

I'm looking for anyone who might have information on Apple's embedded Apple Watch charging daughterboard, ID 820-02601. This is currently used by Anker in their Apple Watch charging products, but likely by other Apple partner brands as well.

You can see the board referenced in ChargerLab's teardown of the Anker Y1811 3-in-1 MagSafe cube - they discuss the "Apple Watch wireless charging circuit" about 2/3rds down the page. It's not pictured, but the board ID reads 820-02601-A, which sure sounds like Apple.
This daughterboard uses an interesting set of 10 castellated pins - given the number of pins, similarities in board layout to the Apple Watch USB-C charging cable (see this other ChargerLab teardown video), and nearby USB silkscreen, I think this might be an internal USB-C header.

Based on a visual inspection/probe test, many of the 10 pins are either not connected or shorted to ground. This further leads me to think either USB-C, or USB 3.0.

Goal here: I have one of these chargers, but no Apple Watch. I'd like to replace the Apple Watch puck/charger with one for my watch, which is a physically identical size.
I've already gotten the puck to work in the housing, and wired it all the way back to the main board, but I need to figure out the pinout/compatibility for the USB-C charger I'd be replacing it with.

Looking forward to any information folks might gave.

When i connect usb it switchs to 20v but no current draw (only 0.02a) and orang light is on. In windows it shows that is charging but percentage is dropping.

Apple macbook Pro Retina A1398 Battery not charging
    by fisha
Hallo everyone, my A1398 do not charging the battery and the battery also do not bin recognized. I did all the reset work, SMC reset and all the other reset options but nothing helped. on the SMC at pin 2 (DCIN) there are 20,4V coming in. at pin 16 (BGATE) which goes to the Q7155 Gate there are only 11,43V. at the pin 1,2 and 3 on the Q7155 (Source) there are 12,23V. Cap C7126 is not shorted. As I understand, the gate voltege have to by higher then the source voltege for the gate to clous so the battery can be charging, am I right? can someone help me with this? I guess that manny models are working...

    Apple 820-000923-A not charging
    by ktmmotocross
    Hello.
Have this Apple with board 820-000923-A that not charging. one port was not registering power. found low rezistance on USB_TA_CC1. after chip UB300 desolder, rezistance change to normal. other ports have still only 5V but now goes from 512mA to 123mA.
can charging work without this ic or all chips must be placed?

any hint what to check next?
