    Logisys "build quality"

I thought Logisys was bad, but look at this! There was a screw floating around in the chassis. The worst part? The screw wasn't even the right type for the case, or PCB. Just a random screw. Scratches and long leads all over the soldering side. The case doesn't even fit the chassis correctly. The on/off switch was so loose that I could just pull it out with my hand.
I didn't get a pic, but one of the ground leads wasn't even soldered into the PCB.

You mean quality showpiece of what not to do!

The four mounting points are not bonded together, so RFI suppression is zip. Y-caps, on the other side of that board, aren't connected to that GND.

Capxon, JEE, YC, VIVA, Fudge-yoo? You don't need any caps at all! Not even soldered!

The case is too thick for the switch...

Between the "loose screw" (haha) and leads over traces, I'll bet that'll live up to it's avatar- the "green hurricane in a cape" monster has "taken" your computer. "Taken," of course, meaning destroyed.

It won't be any of mine.

The only thing missing is this (and oil for it):

it's funny that they would put that in a clear case!

        And not only that.
The whole idea of a metal case for the PSU is to make it more "fire-proof" in case something goes wrong (which with this PSU *it will*) AND to attenuate RFI and EMI from the switching noise generated by the PSU - you know, Faraday cage and all that... but I guess no cage can keep this Logysis Devil from wrecking havoc.

        Haha!
I love the quotes you found from Antec Rep too - perfect fit for this thread.

Yup, that's what I first thought of when I saw the Logysis logo years ago - a Devil (or "Diablo"? ... tek? ... sorry I couldn't resist that pun either) taking your computer to PC hell .

Oil? In a Rulian Science fan? Where did you ever see that?

I think they came up with this in the factory so that "employees" (read: slave children) could see any mistakes they made on each unit and hopefully correct them

Needless to say. QC PASSED again!

looks like a fire bomb ready to explode. I doubt it was ever tested or plugged in after assembly
