Wanted: Internal pictures & capacitor list in Seasonic S12+ 650W PSU

I am considering buying a Seasonic S12+ 650W power supply. But since I have heard some Seasonic units may have OST brand capacitors, I want to be certain about the brands of capacitors used in this particular unit.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

I have an SS-500HT (purchased about 6 weeks ago) which I would be glad to open up and check. Nothing larger than that though. From past experience, the 300 watt unit had OST's. The 380 and 430 watt units have United Chemicon KZE's.

Don't buy it, buy the Corsair HX620 instead.

It's pretty much the same price as far as I've seen, and it's really a Seasonic S12, but with the following perks:

5 year warranty instead of 3 year
      modular cabling

      the caps are as follows:

      hitachi primary
      nippon chemi-con secondaries

      it's rated at 620w @ 50c constant

For the detailed internals: - http://hardwaresecrets.com/article/371

      Hope this helps

Thank you. The internals look rather decent.

I have bought one brand new off eBay last night.

The build notes are as below:

Hitachi HP3 470uF 400V with the rest being Nippon Chemi-Con KY Series units, except as noted:
            1000uF 16V before -12V output inductor with 220uF 16V after it.
2200uF 6.3V before and after +3.3V output inductor.
            4700uF 10V before +5V output inductor and
            2700uF 16V KZE unit before +5VSB regulator with 1000uF 10V after it.
            2200uF 16V x2 KZE on +12V rail.
            STPS6045 (2 in parallel) rectifiers for +12V rail ("L" meaning low-loss).
            STPS60L30 rectifier for +5V rail.
The +3.3V rectifier is a bit obscured, but is used within ratings.
12CM ADDA fan (ball-bearing) with very decent-sized inductors elsewhere.

The PFC/PWM controller is a TI UC2850x series.

MOSFETs used are 24N60C3 x2 (in parallel) for the PFC, with FQP18N50 x2 for the double forward converter. The PFC rectifier diodes are STTH8S06D x2 (in parallel).
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

Modular cables are I probably will never ever buy one.

Re: Wanted: Internal pictures & capacitor list in Seasonic S12+ 650W PSU

Huh CorsairHX, the modular cables are all black sheathed wires ribbon cable.

I would have prefered twisted and rounded double screening (maybe shiney ofc copper outer in a tobacco friendly transparent sheathing) with noise supressors built on each end and 24k gold plating normal connectors (not these strange ones with lips that push against devices they're slotted in to I wasn't happy inserting these).

As someone who worries, I do worry about all the stray cabling in high end luxury PSU's, I only want them for whats inside not the plethora of connectors and quad graphic ratings, not really to use lots of devices like is their intention.

Having to "stuff" 4/5/6+ unwanted cables in random spaces in the sharp edged casing can leave me with my fingers crossed. Especially considering how frequently one has to poke around in PC's for crucial tweaking (probably last minute to ensure rival gamers cannot have prior knowledge of their competitor - via information exchange or hacking) before a big gaming session, sometimes whilst drunk, sleepy or over hyped up on jungle coffee.

Seasonic B12 BC-550 – barely 2 years old and with BAD CAPS already!

I know I've been a little scarce lately (like the last 2-3 years), but I'm still here and still doing my thing with fixing PSUs.

For today's considerations, I have a Seasonic B12 BC-550 [A551bcafh] 550 Watt ATX power supply for you (click on links for full size images).

It's a modern ATX unit with fixed (non-modular) cables and an 80-plus bronze certificate. Here's the label:

So if you have been following my urine odor saga with my new PC, I believe I finally found out what is happening, my Northbridge heatsink is getting quite toasty, and other people online with my motherboard say the VRM's get hot as well. That may be the source of the odor I am smelling.

                  Current setup
The case has 3 fan openings, a 120mm front, a 120mm side, and a 92mm rear. Currently the only fan installed is the 120mm front. The CPU cooler has a side mounted 92mm fan on it (and that cooler is very cool, CPU temps are great). The only exhaust is from the PSU

Hi it looks like everything works don't know where to test except the 390v in the 2 capacitor in the hot side of the power supply and the weird 180v in the diodes in the cold side that should be discharged it is writin on the circuit no more you can read what is written on the circuit quite srrange color mixiing yellow and white
                  anyhow i couldn't t read anything else

LG 55UH6150- trouble powering up, then half lit screen (pictures!)
                  by valvashon
The 55" LG has been in the basement for a few months without being used. Turned it on yesterday, set came on as it should and showed a complete screen for about 5 seconds (was on a broadcast channel but no antenna was connected), then the screen went mostly dark with about 1/3 of the screen on the right lighting up with brighter lines in that lit part (sorry, no pictures of that). Power LED was cycling too, preventing the TV from fully powering up.
Pulled the back off, all boards looked OK. Pulled the LED connector, turned the set on to see if it would power up but I don't belive it...

Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01 Schematic and Parts List
                  by Mark D
The TV is a Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01. I replaced the power source board and the TV is now working, but I decided to try and troubleshoot the old board to fix at the component level. Trying to get a schematic and a parts list has proven to be an issue. Trying on my own, I can't tell you how many times my Norton security has flagged sites as "malicious". I ordered a service manual from ServiceManuals.net, paid $16.99 and got 66 pages of everything BUT schematics and component parts list! Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Some of the surface mounted component parts...
