I'm recapping an FSP power supply which had 7 CapXon caps (6 were bulging) since this is a really small PSU, the UCC KY caps I have are too big to fit. For the 1000uf 16V CapXon caps, I have 680uf 16V UCC KY caps that are the EXACT same dimensions as the 1000uf 16V CapXon's. Since CapXon are terrible, do you think the 680uf 16V caps would be as good if not better at filtering?

Re: Replacing CapXon's, wondering what lower version of UCC is equivalent
Get the series code from the capacitors, read the specs from the Capxon datasheet and compare with UCC datasheets...
What else there is to say? Without a series code, it's too little information. -
Re: Replacing CapXon's, wondering what lower version of UCC is equivalent
Capxon KF 1000uF 16v : 10x20 , 1350 mA , 0.065 ohm
The closest would be LXZ series: 1000uF , 1220 mA , 0.052 ohm ( page 136)
I think you'll be fine with KY though... it's not too low esr.Comment

by ReintarFirst of all, I'd like to mention that I'm a novice when it comes to laptop repair, although I do have some experience with soldering.
One day, my laptop experienced a severe stutter, and after rebooting, it failed to boot into Windows. I decided to disassemble it and found that the PL900 component was blown. Later, I came across a post (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...error%E2%80%99) with the same problem, where...08-30-2024, 06:13 AM -
by NoodneekMy 3.5 years old monitor (BenQ SW2700pt) started to black out for 1-2 sec every minute or so, it was doing this even with PC disconnected from it. I searched online and read that it's probably aging capacitors and there's a workaround to lower the brightness.
I lowered it from 100 to 65% and it indeed helped, but after a couple of months the issue returned... I continued to lower the brightness, but it helped only for a couple of hours at most, then I needed to lower it further... Turning the monitor off and waiting for it to cool down also helped for a short time, after which it...-

by LENOVO-A880Hi! I hope someone can help me out cause I'm looking into replacing one of the barrier diode that is faulty on my VDO odometer circuitboard due to short circuit lately. The part has marking on its body which reads "SJ" on the upper row while "39" on the lower.
Close-up photos included for the part and the numbers but the problem i can't find this part for sale anywhere. Oh! I don't even know if this part has any datasheet available for free online. So I wonder does anybody know any suitable replacement ot something equivalent to it?
Thanks ahe... -
by karloxGood evening, colleagues.
Does anyone know an equivalent or a compatible replacement for the uP9002P IC (power controller)? Alternatively, does it come under any other marking or code on different boards?
Any insight or cross-reference would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!09-01-2025, 08:43 PM -
by peter_wheatHi All,
I'm looking for a SMPS flyback transformer TAM TO-5622, or equivalent, or any information on it? Company is Tamura Corp (https://www.tamuracorp.com). It has Primary, Secondary, and Auxiliary windings. Have emailed the company, but no info back yet. It is out of a Makita DC24SC battery charger.. This transformer has a burnt out the primary (caused by a failed MOSFET). Secondary, gave me a reading of 0.49 Ohms, and Auxiliary a reading of 0.93 Ohms. I took it to bits, thinking I might try and re-wind it, but it was more complex than I realized, and had difficulty removing... - Loading...
