So I bought another vp6 off of Ebay. I get it installed and windows loaded up, and I keep getting "Machine Check Exception" blue screens. I did a lot of troubleshooting that finally lead me to the PS. I used this PS for my old vp6 for years without problems. However, I noticed that it was a single rail 12v. I loaded up motherboard monitor and all 3 voltages were running too low. The 12v was running around 11.89 consistantly. I put my multimeter on it, and got the same results as motherboard monitor.
So new Antec SP400 dual rail installed. The 12v for peripherals is now good, registering around 12.40v-12.50v on my multimeter. However, the 12v on the board is registering at 11.94v, and the 3.3v is registering at 3.27v, the 5v is registering exactly 5.00v. I'm still getting the same blue screens when it boots into windows or shortly thereafter. This board is using the stock caps from what I can tell, but none of them are bulged at all.
What do you guys think?
