    Philips 50PFP5332D/37 Power Supply Cap Info Needed

    I have a Philips 50PFP5332D/37 with bad caps on the power supply. It had some bad caps that were making power up very slow. While replacing the bad caps, I got confused and fear that I do not have the correct caps in the correct place. The power supply is a lj92-01511a. I have searched in vain for several hours on the net trying to find out the correct cap sizes. I even purchased a repair kit off of ebay, but the included directions do not match the location numbers on my board. I need to know the cap sizes for the following locations:

    DC8402
    DC8410
    DC8417
    DC8418
    DC8414
    DC8413
    DC8405
    DC8404
    DC8407
    DC8524
    DC8013

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    I think I can lend some assistance here ...

    Assuming you still have the 11 caps you removed you can use them to determine uF and V you need to replace with. Then, looking at the attached photo compare sizes to locations on the identical board for positioning. I boxed the caps I suspect you removed in orange. Of course, if you don't have the caps you removed this won't be much help.

      Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I do not have the original caps. I really need something that shows the correct size for the location numbers.

        below are the caps you need according to what's on my board.
        however i can't locate where 8013 and 8418 is located, maybe you could tell me as i'm also having problems with my board.
        in my case, the tv only works after the board is warmed up with a hair dryer, after replacing all the caps listed below apart from the ones i can't find.

        DC8402 = 1500uf 25v
        DC8410= 3300uf 16v
        DC8417= 1500uf 25v
        DC8416= 1500uf 25v
        DC8418
        DC8414= 1500uf 25v
        DC8413= 1500uf 25v
        DC8405= 680uf 50v
        DC8404= 680uf 50v
        DC8407=680uf 100v
        DC8524= 680uf 100v
        DC8013
        DC8522= 1500uf 25v

              Provided that there are usual output voltages of 5 V and 12 V, you can use value of 6,3 V and 16 V just fine. As for capacitance, usually increasing capacitance of big caps is usually even better.

              I myself buy mostly the highest capacitance of every dimension (D8, D10 etc).

                  Im not sure it is? - that seems to be for a relatively small lcd tv?

                  I suggest PHILIPS CHASSIS EJ3.0U-PA SM

                  If it is, you can download the service manual from

                  However if I recall correctly the values have been listed for the caps and the
                  numbers should be on the board?

                    Also - have you seen this recent thread "Phillips 50PFP5332d No video or backlight"
                    -perhaps you can help each other?
                    I see they have the link for the service manual as well.

                        I have the same power supply and have located a shorted diode (D8028). It is a TO220 case (only 2 leads) and is screwed to one of the long heat sinks. The diode has the markings V728 and ISF104. Neither of these numbers cross-reference to anything I have or on the internet. All the service manuals I have downloaded fail to include a parts list or schematic that covers the power supply. Any help in finding a suitable replacement for this diode would be greatly appreciated.
