Hi, my dear friends., Maybe this might be a stupid question or something I missed or do not know. I have 2 MacBook Air A2681 (Indentical color & EMC #), both LCD screens broken. Before ordering the LCD Screens I confirmed both worked with their respective batteries & AC Adapters, & they did 100%. The LCD Screens came in today & I replaced LCD for the 1st A2681. (Removed Battery Terminal cable for both Laptops before installation of LCDs). Perfect Screen & Booted up fine. But it did not work with battery. I checked the battery connector & it was seated in well/perfectly.... -
Wow it's been a while since I posted!
This is a weird case, it has a history of liquid spill a year ago but customer did not want to replace neither trackpad or keyboard.. fast forward for today:
A2681 turns on but not trackpad or keyboard feedback (or external keyboard and mouse) and then after a minute or so the Mac sleeps..
It's a NOT a sleep sensor or trackpad or keyboard or daughterboard or anything else (I replaced all those); it's the logic board..
Tested another locked logic board on customer's top case and it posted with keyboard and...05-22-2025, 09:59 AM -
today i received a board a2681 820-02536 m2 this board stuck in 5 volt i check some volt all ok but pp3v3_aon is low, here 1.6v , when I hit the pmu it turned on, then after a while it did not turn on, then I changed pmu but same problem , someone help me what is the problem why pp3v3 is 1.6v i checked here no short...02-20-2025, 12:26 PM -

water damaged MacBook a2681 M2 draws 5v 0,4A, u7700 gets hot, so I guess it must be bad.. Now I wonder, where could I get that chip? there is nothing on aliexpress... is it only good from same doner board?

So, what are the odds I shorted the M2 CPU? I got in an a2681 MacBook Air. Liquid damage. Ordered from China and replaced a chip (APL109D 343S00555) cleaned corosion and ultrasonic..The whole 9 yards.
Last night I put it all together and it came on beautifully. 20V- Apple Logo. I celebrated and knocked the LCD connector loose right away while holding the laptop. Now, it wont boot and it cycles on the volt meter.
Cycle 20v - .02a then volt meter goes off, then it comes on and rinse and repeat. Classic sign of a MacBook short. I looked at the board with my thermal camera and I can...01-22-2025, 05:22 AM
