This chip is 1MB! your chip must be 8MB, 16MB, 32MB or something like that.

Yes but it works fine if you write the bin on chip,i tried to use the bios from asus website but it has 27mb archive when extracted.
The laptop is a asus vivobook pro i7 11gen . When i use MEanalyzer it says that needs to be extracted with ami extract

The tutorial bios that is here on forum dont explain the process to clean or reset on the new asus laptops.
I studied the process but isnt complete the tutorial and on the internet i dont find nothing about it.

Its 8 megabits ,which equals 1 mega byte. What youve posted isnt even a proper backup of the chip. The chip is for something, not sure what but could be for the thunderbolt or USB-C firmware.
Did you make a backup before you overwrote it .As hardware1 said, the bios chip is somewhere else.

AMI PFAT extract will only remove the PFAT header, it still needs editing to the correct size using a hex editor. It is not a full bios image, only an update, it is the bios region, there is no ME firmware,no flash descriptor. The update can/could be merged with your bios backup and the DMI copied (if you could find the correct chip... ) . Thats one way to get rid of the password, but there are other ways as well.

i will search in the motherboard another bios chip to saw if it containt more information.
i used the ami pfat on bios that i readed and the bios from asus site
and it show this files that i attached.
i maked 2 backups from the chip before the write process.
sorry for the bad inglish and thanks a lot for the response and attention.

i like to learn, im curious and i search endlessly for the solutions.

With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI - BIOS Help
                          by grimacelord
                          Hello,

I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...

                          ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
                          by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                          Some issues
                          A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                          Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

                          Hi there,

I know there is somebody who can tell me what is happening with my laptop. For start, it is an asus vivobook s510ua with an asustek x510ua motherboard with an intel i5 7200u cpu and 16gb ram.. i have a screenshot from speccy before strange things started.. as you can see the laptop type and bios version x510ua.302.I don’t manually update the bios because i don’t like to having a bricked bios, i know what troubles that gives..

I did a fresh win 11 install, and after the automatic updates, windows rebooted and automatically started asus ez flash.....

Need real mobo dump of BIOS v402 for ASUS PRIME Z590-A - stock image no help
                          by DynaxSC
                          Hi,

I have a serious problem to program the Z590 chipset SRAM with a Management Engine after replacing the chipset.
The new chipset is factory new and is not containing any Management Engine. Any attempts to program it into the chipset under Windows ends with a failure (eg. Error 20: Management Engine Device not present, or something similar).
Due to the lack of the ME several ports on the board, including all M.2 ports aren't working, booting OS works only on USB. So it's now other way, as to program the chipset with a ME.

Usually on ASUS boards it worked...
